When you wake up in the morning and you feel like you’ve lost control over your life. When you feel like you have no clue what you’ve been doing for the last twenty-something or thirty-something years of your life. When you question everything you’ve done and if you’ve made all the wrong turns. When you see others success and compare it to your own.

That’s when you don’t feel like you’re good enough.

When you feel like you lost a good relationship because of how stubborn you can be. When you feel like you should be further ahead in life than you are. When everyone else is getting married and starting families and you’re still living with roommates. When friends are taking vacations and you’re still living paycheck to paycheck.

That’s when you don’t feel like you’re good enough.

But despite all those things, and everything else that might be going on in your life, you are good enough.

Remember that life is full of obstacles, full of ups and downs and full of emotions. You will feel disappointed from time to time, but it is totally and completely normal, it’s human. The most important thing to remember is you will never stay down for long as long as you don’t allow your self to.

No one has the answers for you, you can read every self-help book in the world and still not know what to do when you don’t feel good enough. You have to go soul searching and find the answers within your self because only you know what feels right and what makes you happy.

Make sure you remember there is more to life that work and your job title. While, yes, you do need money to live, it isn’t everything. There are your friends and your family. There are your hobbies and your happiness. There are all your successes and triumphs up till this point.  There is so much more than the label we coordinate in front of our names. Titles don’t make us better, just like being rich doesn’t make anyone happier.

You don’t need to be a CEO in order to feel good enough because money doesn’t buy happiness.

When you don’t feel good enough please remember that failing is OK, it is a part of life. No one achieved greatness from the start; even the well-known greats of the world had failures before they had success because you learn a hell of a lot more from failures than you do from success.

Every single person on this world has flaws and failures, everyone has times they don’t feel good enough and things they are unsure about, but it is what we do with those things that is important. It’s how we deal with feeling heartbroken that is important, it’s what we do when we feel lazy and unmotivated, it’s what we do when we feel like we’ve lost control over our lives.

Those are all things we can let destroy us, or we can find it in ourselves to destroy them.

We can choose to see through the feeling of not being good enough by seeing all the good beyond our uncertainty. We can find peace within ourselves through our own misfortunes.

You might be your own problem right now, but you can also be your own solution. Find what works for you and do it. Don’t wait anymore; don’t stand for feeling not good enough anymore because you are good enough. Now go out and prove it to the rest of the world. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
