4 Myers-Briggs Personality Types With the Highest IQs

By

Contrary to popular belief, successful students aren’t necessarily highly intelligent.

If you want to get a true measure of someone’s intelligence, take a look at their Myers-Briggs type. Not only will their MBTI reveal their ability to absorb knowledge and solve complex problems, but it will indicate their style of learning. So whether you struggled in school or were the valedictorian, check this list to see if you’re on it. You may be surprised!

INTP

Analytical, innovative, and curious, INTPs live in the world of possibilities. These MBTIs love exploring abstract concepts and often have incredible breakthroughs after pondering notions like freedom, friendship, beauty, and humor. INTPs are usually excellent students, quickly mastering lessons and earning high marks. Unless they are in a challenging academic program, these Myers-Briggs types are easily bored and can benefit from extracurricular activities like playing music, tinkering with machinery, and writing computer code.

INFJ

While INFJs are famous for their powerful intuition, this capacity for deep feeling actually supports their intelligence. That’s because this Myers-Briggs type uses their sixth sense to detect hidden meanings and nuances. As a result, INFJs often excel in abstract subjects like psychology and philosophy. Additionally, this Myers-Briggs type loves to explore theoretical ideas and imaginary universes, making it one of the most well-read MBTIs. INFJs are self-led learners who often shun traditional school, preferring the freedom to set the pace of their education.

ENTP

ENTPs are highly observant. As a result, they make great strategists and problem-solvers. This MBTI is great at detecting errors, inconsistencies, and loopholes. That may be why so many teachers are exasperated by ENTPs, since these students often undermine their authority by questioning their logic, methods, and assumptions. Because this Myers-Briggs type loves bouncing ideas off other people, they flourish in collaborative work and study environments.  Although they may not get fantastic grades, they’re often the smartest people in the room, as well as the most admired.

ENFJ

Both perceptive and visionary, ENFJs often get straight the heart of any question; they are among the fastest learners. Their ability to ignore distractions and concentrate on the critical issue makes this Myers-Briggs type successful students. ENFJs are also gifted at recognizing the potential in everything and everyone. As a result, they find uses for people and materials that would otherwise be neglected. Their original outlook makes this MBTI a valued member of any team, helping the group consider important matters they’d otherwise ignore.
