6 Things We NEED From A ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Sequel
There’s no official word yet if KPop Demon Hunters is getting a sequel, but considering the continued hype over this perfect music-filled animated movie, Netflix would be crazy not to get on-board.
And, considering the director, Maggie Kang, has talked about how she’s totally down to continue the stories she merely brushed upon in this top-of-the-charts movie, we’re hoping will see Huntr/x (and maybe even the Saja Boys) on screens again. But if they’re going to make a new story in the KPop Demon Hunters universe, these are some things it needs to have.
Derpy and Sussy need to come back.

Sometimes you just need adorable creatures that to double-duty as comic relief. Enter Derpy, a mystical tiger, and Sussy, a multi-eyed be-hatted magpie. Acting as the official delivery system for Rumi and Jinu’s secret correspondence, they have a comfort to them that would be sorely missing in a sequel. Do we need an origin story? No. We just need them to be cute.
Explore the lore of the other four Saja Boys.

There are tons of fan theories about the four other Saja Boys. Were they just random demons that Jinu trained to be the archetypal kpop boy band members? Or were they actually the demon versions of the boys we see in a photo at the Han Clinic? If so, I’d love to see that storyline.
Let these girls have a break.

How about at least one night on the couch? These girls deserve it after saving the world from Gwi-Ma.
Show us more about Rumi’s parentage.

We’re all wondering how Rumi’s hunter mother ended up having a baby with a demon. Who’s her dad? Where is he now? OMG, is it Gwi-Ma himself? It’s an obvious storyline for another installment of KPop Demon Hunters, but that doesn’t mean we need it any less.
Drop more killer music.

KPop Demon Hunters has one of the best soundtracks in recent memory. Even for people who aren’t already fans of KPop, the songs from Huntr/x and the Saja Boys make for great listening even when you’re not watching the movie. Voiced by true icons, like Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami from girl group Twice, there’s so much room for great music.
Resurrect Jinu, but in a creative way.

Okay, I get it. He sacrificed what was his left of his soul to help Rumi and the Honmoon. He’s gone. Or is he? Is there a way for Rumi to get him back somehow? Please say yes.
If you haven’t already, you can watch KPop Demon Hunters on Netflix.
