Netflix’s Olympo combines sports, drama, and steamy romance

Everyone loves a bit of drama and racy intrigue, right? It looks like that’s exactly what Netflix’s new show Olympo promises. Some are calling it “Elites, but with athletes.” Set in a high-performance Olympic training center surrounded by gorgeous mountains, the shows follows a cast of hopefuls as they train to get on Spain’s Olympic team. It’s said to be filled with twists and drama galore.
Noah’s Arc: The Movie comes to Paramount+ today–and it’s not what it sounds like

If you’re like me, you saw that title and immediately assumed it was a retelling of the religious allegory. Nope! Noah’s Arc: The Movie is a continuation of the comedy drama show that began its short life on the Logo Channel back in 2005. Now, 20 years later, it’s getting a movie so fans can learn what’s happened with the queer Black characters in the intervening decades. The movie debuts on Paramount+ with Showtime today–just in time for Pride. And if you want to watch the show before the movie, you can stream that, too.
“Nightmarish” sci-fi horror film Ash releases on Shudder

An astronaut (played by Eiza González) wakes up on a space station with her entire crew having been killed. Originally premiering at South by Southwest (SXSW), this space horror film is being likened to the kind of upsetting visual horror you might find from Brandon Cronenberg (Possessor, Infinity Pool). It currently has a Rotten Tomatoes critics’ score of 71% and gets its streaming premier today on Shudder.
