The Best Spider-Man Movies Of All Time Are Leaving Netflix At The End Of April
If you're a Tobey Maguire girlie, you best start watching the trilogy while you still can.
We have three Spider-Men to pick from when it comes to this webslinger’s feature films, and arguably the best one is about to become much harder to find.
As we saw in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), there have been three amazing men who’ve played the part of Peter Parker and his arachnid persona. Whether it’s the O.G. Tobey Maguire, the amazing Andrew Garfield or the currently reigning live-action Spider-Man Tom Holland, I think we can agree that all three gave stellar performances. But when it comes to the movies themselves, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man trilogy is the best. If you’ve been wanting to watch them, you’d better do it fast. Spider-Man is web-slinging away from Netflix on April 30, 2025.
The Spider-Man trilogy brought home the gold before the MCU took the helm.
It’s easy to look back at old, pre-MCU comic book movies and say they were all horrible. I mean, there were plenty of duds. (Like Daredevil (2003), Elektra (2005) and more.) But the quality didn’t start with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We got it with the first entry in the trilogy with iconic performances from Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson, and Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin.
And with each passing movie in the trilogy (Spider-Man 2 in 2004 and Spider-Man 3 in 2007), they remained the best comic book movies made so far. It wouldn’t be until 2008’s Iron Man that the MCU would pull focus. Much of this Spider-Man trilogy’s success can also be attributed to Sam Raimi, who got his experienced mitts all over the movies as Director.
Yes, all 3 movies are good.

Now, you might be rolling your eyes at the mention of Spider-Man 3 as a great entry in the trilogy. Hear me out: While it has plenty of problems compared to the other two movies, it remains a great film when you want to sit with your friends and critique what you watch. Honestly, without this gem, we would have never met Emo Peter Parker, and that would have been a shame.
Watch the original Spider-Man trilogy On Netflix before April 30.
