3 Romantic Comedies Modern Men Should Watch ASAP
If you’re already in touch with your feminine side and know how to show your partner how much you care–and are a huge rom com fan–this list isn’t for you.
Instead, this list of three essential rom coms can be your lesson in Modern Romance 101. We can all learn from movies, whether it’s the Fast and Furious franchise’s focus on family or slasher horror movies’ lesson not to split up. Before you roll your eyes, there’s likely at least one movie that you feel that connection with. So why not romantic comedies? I’ve compiled three great rom coms you should watch asap, along with where to stream them.
Magic Mike XXL (2015)

Don’t skip this masterpiece. If you’re straight, you’re likely not on board watching a movie about male strippers, but don’t discount this great film. It’s all about a group of friends going on a boys’ trip up the coast. Plus, you can learn a lot about how to treat women of all kinds and how to make them feel special. It’s just a great movie, even if you aren’t attracted to men. Watch Magic Mike XXL on Netflix.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)

The biggest complaint about romantic comedies I get from men is how “unrealistic” they are. (As if other genres aren’t.) Well, here’s a rom com for you that’s both realistic and is an example of a healthy relationship. It’s all about a Greek woman falling for a non-Greek man who’s happy to do anything to fit within her chaotic family. While I wouldn’t say most rom com romances should be modeled exactly as they are, this is one of the exceptions. Watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding on Max.
Palm Springs (2020)

It’s got a time loop, a cute romance, and everyone’s favorite “Andy”: Andy Samberg. There are great lessons to learn with Palm Springs, like how boring life can be without a partner and how everyone has a different idea of how to solve problems–and maybe your partner’s is better than yours. Plus, I just think you’ll like it. Watch Palm Springs on Hulu.
