Tall Girl / Netflix

And we're not talking about the Christmas special.

Am I still listening to “Please Please Please” even though the song is so 2024? Yes.

Sabrina Carpenter has quickly become a household name–a pop diva filling stadiums with rabid fans. But you may have forgotten that she started as an actor. First gaining attention for the reboot show, Girl Meets World, Sabrina moved on to movies too, including a few Netflix Originals. So if you’re a Sabrina Carpenter girlie and you want to watch your favorite singer in her element, check out these movies. (And no, I’m not going to make you watch her Christmas special out-of-season.)

Tall Girl (2019)

Netflix

This movie is about, you guessed it, a tall girl. Jodi is impossibly tall, which makes her stand out in school in all the wrong ways. Add in the fact that her gorgeous sister (Sabrina Carpenter) is a literal beauty queen and you can imagine how tough high school can get. Although Sabrina is just a co-star in this teen rom com, she lights up the screen every time she steps onto it. While this movie isn’t going to win any awards, it’s still a fun one to put on for the Sabrina Carpenter scenes alone.

Work It (2020)

Netflix

Did you know that Sabrina Carpenter starred in a dance movie? Well, now you do. When Quinn (Sabrina Carpenter), meets with Duke admissions, they incorrectly assume that she’s a member of her school’s dance team. When she doesn’t correct them, she embarks on a wild ride to make that lie a reality. If you like dance movies, you might like this fun addition to the subgenre. Or maybe you just like Sabrina Carpenter. You’ll like it for that reason, too.

As human beings, our feelings of anger, frustration, and irritation are warranted. However, these emotions also invite us to explore what […]
