Unwind after an action-packed Father’s Day with a movie. But what do you choose? Action? A tear-jerker? Something funny and silly? The movies on this list will fit his personality, and they all have some of that fatherly flair.

Aries: Taken (2008)

A grieving single dad sees how happy his daughter is at the prospect of owning a zoo so he says, “Why not?” and signs on the dotted line. Who cares if he has no experience running a zoo? Cancer: The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)

We’re picking the most tear-filled watch for the dad most likely to willingly cry in front of his kids. Starring real-life father and son Will and Jaden Smith, this is a true story about a single father just trying to pull himself out of poverty. Ouch, my heart. Leo: To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)

This movie is for the badass dad who can’t help but command any room he walks into. Equal parts about a handsome lawyer defending a black man wrongfully accused of a crime and also a touching look at the lawyer’s relationship with his kids, there’s a good chance this is already one of your dad’s faves. Virgo: Minari (2020)

A dad moves his family from Korea to California in hopes of achieving the American dream, but it comes with a lot of strife and hard work that causes more drama for the family than he ever realized. This is considered by many as the best film of 2020. If this plot doesn’t scream “Virgo Dad!” I don’t know what does. Watch Minari on Max.

Libra: Finding Nemo (2003)

A papa clown fish is in search of his missing son. It’s heart-warming, it’ll make you tear up, and it’s comedic fun for the whole family. Finding Nemo is perfect for the well-balanced Libra dad who loves a little bit of everything. And there’s a good chance you’ll get the best hug of your life after the credits roll. Scorpio: Field of Dreams (1989)

On the surface, Field of Dreams is just about cornfields and baseball, but when you drill down to it, it’s really about how we all need our dads, no matter our age. Sagittarius: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)

Indiana is a famous adventurer, but even he has a hard time when his dad joins along. This is what you get when your dad is just as adventurous and brave as you are, if not more-so. If anyone in the zodiac is a total godfather of their own family, it’s the Capricorn. When Adam Sandler uses a remote to fast forward the boring bits of his life, he realizes that’s where all the fun moments are. If you want to send a message to your workaholic Aquarius dad, watch Click with him on Father’s Day. It’s a little on-the-nose, but you’ll both appreciate the sentimentality in the end. Pisces: The Lion King (1994)

Regarded by many as having one of the saddest moments in animated movie history, The Lion King is perfect for the Pisces dad who feels all the feelings and will show them exactly once a year.
