The Red, White, & Royal Blue movie’s official Twitter has been teasing a first trailer for weeks. And it makes sense. The book it’s based on, by bestselling author Casey McQuiston, has been a favorite of readers for years. All about the overly outgoing son of an American president falling for the stodgy and uptight Prince of England, the book has just the right amount of political intrigue, cute first love, and scorching sex appeal.

You don’t have to wait any longer. Amazon finally released the trailer for their Red, White, & Royal Blue movie and it answers the most important question all of us fans of the book have been asking: “But do they have chemistry?”

I have just one warning before you watch the trailer, though. If you haven’t read the book, don’t watch the full trailer. Stop it halfway. Or sooner. They give away way too much of the plot. Okay, are you ready? Check out the Red, White, & Royal Blue trailer below.

This trailer doesn’t hold back when it comes to the chemistry between Alex and Prince Henry. They even show a glimpse of their first kiss! Though some have been skeptical about whether or not Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine could handle the roles, it looks like the skepticism may have been unfounded. Because WOW, the chemistry between these two.

Admittedly, the trailer may be showing a bit too much of the story. While this is fine for people who’ve read the book, if you’re unfamiliar with the story, you might want to just watch enough to get a taste, then leave the rest for when you see it on release day.

Speaking of which, Red, White, & Royal Blue releases on Amazon Prime Video on August 11, 2023. It’s a movie, rather than a series, so you’ll get the entire adorable story of Alex and Prince Henry in one sitting. And if you still can’t get enough, you can always go back and read the book (again).
