‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Series Finale Recap: A Step By Step Breakdown

By

This whole thing is spoilers. It’s a recap of what happened on the series finale.

1. Belly celebrated her birthday in Paris and had an incredible outfit. Like her best outfit of the show.

Belly’s so so stunning birthday outfit.

2. Belly x Conrad happened. Then she rejected Conrad after their night together, fearing her feelings weren’t genuine.

Susannah, Conrad’s mom, wrote him a letter about getting married and it was implied it was getting married to Belly.

3. Conrad delivered a super emotional speech, proving his love wasn’t tied to Susannah’s wishes. Conrad, in his Conrad voice, said to Belly: “I have tried everything not to love you… but the way that I feel about you, Belly, has nothing to do with my mom. If I met you for the first time tonight, I would love you.”

4. Belly realized her mistake and chased Conrad to the train station in Paris.

Conrad’s face in reaction to Belly’s I choose you speech.

5. Belly officially chose Conrad Fisher, ending the long-running love triangle. No shock there. Conrad and Belly are the blueprint of the love we all want.

Always Conrad.

6. The two reconciled with Belly’s very romantic and Tumblr-like statement: “I choose you, of my own free will. If there are infinite worlds, every version of me chose you in every one of them.”

7. Jeremiah Fisher pursued his own future as a chef and began a relationship with Denise. Thank goodness. Get out of here Jeremiah.

Ouch.

8. Steven and Taylor faced a crossroads with Steven moving to San Francisco but reaffirmed their commitment.

9. Paris was an environment for Belly’s growth as person, where she built a new life before returning to love.

They will always have Cousins, and now Paris.

10. Conrad’s gift of Cousins Beach sand symbolized home, memory, and enduring connection.

It’s all for you Belly.

11. The finale ended with Belly and Conrad at the Cousins beach house, holding hands. They must always return to Cousins!

Still from the Christmas scrapbook.

12. A scrapbook-style epilogue showed them celebrating Christmas in Paris, confirming Conrad and Belly stayed together.
