What To Watch July 25th, 2025: Fantastic Four, Happy Gilmore 2, And More
It’s Friday, so clearly the best thing to do is lump yourselves into a dark room surrounded by strangers to stare at a really big screen.
Alternatively, if that’s not your vibe, the second best thing to do is curl up on the couch under a blanket with snacks and stare at a slightly smaller screen. At least, that’s what I do on Friday. If you’re like me and looking for something to watch today, keep on reading to see all the new releases in theaters and at home for you to enjoy.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Releasing in theaters everywhere, The Fantastic Four: First Steps marks the return after two decades from the original and a decade from the sequel. While the Fantastic Four sequel didn’t do very well, First Steps is expected to jump in on the action and set the Marvel universe up to do some major crossovers in the future. Starring Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, you might want to check this one out to stay up to date on the Multiverse.
Happy Gilmore 2

I almost can’t believe I’m typing this, but Happy Gilmore 2 is releasing on Netflix today, bringing Adam Sandler’s beloved and insane character back to the screen. Happy Gilmore 2 picks up 30 years after he has won the Tour Championship and he is headed back to the course to make some extra money to pay for his daughter’s ballet school. Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, and Ben Stiller are all coming back to reprise their roles, so we can expect great things from this one. Hopefully, Happy still knows how to putt!
Death of a Unicorn

Death of a Unicorn originally released in theaters on March 28th of this year, but it is getting a streaming release today on HBO Max. Death of a Unicorn is a dark comedy starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega. The two play a father-daughter duo who accidentally hit and kill a unicorn with their car. They don’t realize just how much this lone event will change their lives and reveal a bit about magic and human nature.
Caddyshack

Okay, this one isn’t new, but July 25th marks the 45th anniversary of Caddyshack. So, if you’re not in the mood for a new movie or want to feel some nostalgia about the 80s, check out Caddyshack on Prime Video. Caddyshack is about a young golfer who is determined to go from a caddy to an all-star champion surrounded by the most uptight and pretentious country club members. Plus, there’s a whole debacle with a gopher and it’s just a raucously good time.
