The 5 Most Insane Moments From ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Season 2

Will MomTok even survive this?!

Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives hit Hulu like a tidal wave of choreographed dances, new Swig flavors, and drama at every turn. The Mormon wives are back and their increased success has only meant more problems for them and their families. While last year’s villain, Whitney, welcomes a new baby, an old face returns after divorce to find community again in MomTok. Jen struggles with her marriage all while receiving the news that she’s pregnant, and Taylor deals with the same old issues over and over again with Dakota. There are so many dramatic moments to choose from this season, but here are the top 5 most dramatic moments from the show.

Taylor Meets Dakota’s Other Girlfriend

Taylor and Dakota have had a tumultuous relationship, and much of season 2 focuses on how Dakota had a whole other girlfriend outside of Taylor. Taylor and the other girlfriend, Jenna, meet up at Mayci’s house and hash out all the details. Jenna lets Taylor have her phone and read through the messages to see all the overlap in their two relationships plus all of the lies that Dakota spoon-fed to Taylor. Jenna reveals to Taylor that Dakota said he is only with Taylor to build his social media clout and nothing more. The whole moment was fairly upsetting, and Taylor got a glimpse of just how cruel Dakota can be.

The Villa Man Leaks The Truth About Demi and Jessi

The whole season, Jen is trying to point the finger at Demi and elude to a secret romance with an Italian man on their trip to a villa in Italy. However, in the final moments of the last episode, Marciano Brunette clears the air about him and Demi in the villa. He does reveal to Layla that he tried to kiss Demi, but that nothing actually happened between them despite the rumors. He does reveal though, that there was something going on between him and Jessi. He reveals that Jessi and him did a little more than kiss and that and how Jordan, Jessi’s husband, doesn’t know the extent of what all happened.

The Halloween Party Fight

The whole Halloween Party was almost manufactured to end in drama when Jessi makes it a point to invite everyone that can cause a scene. Chase, Miranda’s ex and one of the swingers from Taylor’s season one bombshell drop, is in attendance and he makes his presence known by immediately speaking to Dakota. This causes a huge rift to occur between Taylor, Chase, and Dakota. After the three yell at each other inside for what feels like hours, Chase’s new girlfriend leaves and Demi tells Chase to pay attention to his girlfriend. This causes Chase to ask Demi where her husband is an touch her on his way out the door. Demi doesn’t appreciate this and tells Bret, who runs outside and gets in Chase’s face. The situation deescalates, but the cops show up on a noise complaint. It wouldn’t be a MomTok party without a little drama!

Jen Leaves Filming Early

Jen makes the decision to stop filming in season 2 early, citing mental health struggles. Jen and her husband Zac spend the season trying to work out their issues, and it proves to be a tall task. In the midst of trying to figure out their marriage, Jen and Zac find out that they are pregnant and will be welcoming a third baby to the family. The stress of all the drama, plus a new pregnancy in an already rock marriage isn’t a recipe for success, so Jen feels it’s in her best interest to stop filming on the show. The producers posted a note after her final moments on the show respecting Jen’s privacy and promoting her mental health journey.

Demi Faces Marriage Rumors

Mayci tells Mikayla and Taylor that, during a Sinner Sunday submission, she received a tip stating that someone slept with Bret while Demi was away on a trip. When confronted about this, Demi assures them that her and Bret have only been apart from each other for five days at the most and that she would leave the relationship if that was the truth. Demi stands up for Bret, saying she has heard worse but she knows the man that he is, so the two appear to work it out. However, off screen, Demi makes a remark that he is acting guilty.
