4 New Shows To Watch In February
It’s difficult to choose a new show with so many options and streaming services right at the tips of our fingers.
It probably feels like every time you turn on the TV, there’s a new show being advertised and it can be tough to know where to start! Maybe you feel behind and left out from all the shows that everyone loves but you never got into (it’s me with Game of Thrones), or maybe nothing sounds appealing to you. Either way, picking a show to relax to shouldn’t be so hard. Luckily for you, I have four new shows for you releasing in February that are bound to catch your attention. Take a peak at the list and set your notifications for these shows on so you don’t miss out!
Suits: L.A.
Suits, from creator Aaron Korsch, was a hit. As soon as that “Greenback Boogie” jig played on your TV, you were locked in and ready to see what mischief Mike and Harvey got into. Now that Suits is gone, Suits: L.A. is looking to fill some big shoes. A former New York federal prosecutor named Ted Black moves from NYC to LA to reinvent himself and represent some very powerful individuals in the LA circuit. Suits: L.A. follows a similar format to Suits where the lawyers and their support mix business and pleasure and their livelihoods get mixed up into their cases, but there’s an air of mystery as to why Ted Black left NYC in the first place. Suits: L.A. will release on February 23 and will be streaming on Peacock.
Grosse Pointe Garden Society
Grosse Pointe Garden Society sounds wholesome and pure, but the whole show is based around murder! The show follows a suburban garden club that has a perfect appearance with all the wealth and happiness they could ever need, but they have a body hiding in their garden. No really, a literal body. Unfortunately for them, secrets don’t stay secrets for too long when lives are threatened and people are pushed to the brink. Grosse Pointe Garden Society will be released on February 23rd and will be streaming on Peacock.
Clean Slate
Laverne Cox is a national treasure, and she is starring in Clean Slate, a heartfelt comedy about family dynamics, acceptance, and identity. Clean Slate is about a car wash owner named Harry, who lives in Alabama. One day, his estranged child reunites with him in their small Alabama town after 17 years. When his child returns, she introduces herself as a proud trans woman named Desiree. The show travels through the highs and lows of finding oneself, accepting those you love, and conflict that all families face at one point or another. Clean Slate will be streaming on Prime Video starting February 6th.
A Thousand Blows
From the creator of Peaky Blinders comes A Thousand Blows, a TV series that takes place in the 1880s. The show follows the Forty Elephants, an all-female crime syndicate that specializes in shoplifting. The show exposes viewers to the brutal world of East End London during the post-industrial revolution and how illegal boxing provided an economy and a true dog-eat-dog way of life. A Thousand Blows will be streaming on Disney+ come February 21st.
