What To Watch On July 11, 2025: Superman In Theaters And TV’s Most Notorious Killer Returns
One week after the Fourth of July, most streaming apps are only continuing to explode with several exciting new releases.
Along with the fateful flight of Superman in theaters, July 11 also sees the return of several familiar faces audiences either wholeheartedly adore or unwaveringly fear, be it Tyler Perry’s famously chaotic Madea or Michael C. Hall’s blood-curdling Dexter Morgan.
‘Dexter: Resurrection’ returns from the dead on Paramount+

Three years after his previous outing in Showtime’s Dexter: New Blood, Michael C. Hall’s infamous antihero returns with Paramount+’s Dexter: Resurrection. With the first two episodes of the new series scheduled to arrive on July 11, audiences are fervently gearing up to once again see Dexter Morgan pursue his “hobby” in the mean streets of New York City.
Tyler Perry shrieks his way back to Netflix with ‘Madea’s Destination Wedding’

Just over one month since his popular thriller Straws took off on Netflix, Tyler Perry is back at it again with a wholly different streaming exclusive in the form of Madea’s Destination Wedding. The thirteenth chapter in Perry’s long-running Madea series, Madea’s Destination Wedding brings all the trademark charm and whimsical and shenanigans of the franchise to the small screen.
HBO Max delivers an inventive A24 horror film with 2025’s ‘Opus’

More than any other genre, A24 has acquired a well-deserved reputation for their imaginative horror films, as seen through such past releases as The Witch, Hereditary, Midsommar, among so many other exciting movies. With Opus, the studio might not necessarily rise to the same heights as its cinematic forebears, but the finished film remains a unique and startling musical horror movies that makes great use of its all-star cast (Ayo Edebiri, John Malkovich, Juliette Lewis, and Murray Bartlett).
‘Superman’ (finally) soars into nationwide theaters

After years of widespread anticipation and avid excitement, Superman is officially headed back to theaters across the country on July 11. The pulse-bounding first chapter in James Gunn’s rebooted DCU, Superman also marks the first solo film featuring the Man of Tomorrow since 2013’s Man of Steel. An exciting start to the larger DC Universe, Superman promises to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the summer, rivalling the MCU’s upcoming release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps later this month.
