Real Love Will Bring You Closer To God, Not Farther Away
Real love won’t pull you away from yourself. It won’t make you question your worth or silence your voice. It won’t ask you to become smaller just to stay close. When love is real, it draws you back to your center. It grounds you. It steadies you. It reminds you that peace is not something to chase — it’s something to build.

Real love will not make you hide your faith. You won’t have to soften the way you speak to God or dim the way you listen for His guidance. It will not compete with the sacred parts of you. Instead, it will honor them. It will feel like the first time someone truly saw your spirit and decided to protect it. It will meet you in prayer, not pride.
Real love will feel like grace in motion. It will teach you patience, forgiveness, and presence. It won’t be perfect — but it will be consistent. It will hold space for the days when you’re strong and the days when you’re not. It will forgive what is human in you and celebrate what is holy. It won’t pull you from God when things get hard. It will remind you to turn toward Him together.

Real love won’t require you to shrink. It will want you to grow. It will encourage the dreams God planted in you instead of competing with them. It will see your softness not as something to fix, but as something sacred to honor. It will never make you feel like too much. It will make you feel like enough — deeply, quietly, finally enough.
Real love will bring calm where there once was confusion. It will bring light to the places that once felt heavy. It will not rely on distraction or noise to stay alive. It will rest in truth, in trust, in stillness. You’ll be able to sit together in silence and still feel held — not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually. You’ll know that God’s hand is there, even in the quiet.
Because the love that comes from Him will always reflect Him. It will not tear you down or take you off your path. It will lift you. It will heal you. It will bring you closer to who you were always meant to be.
At the end of the day, real love won’t take you away from God — it will bring you closer. It will feel like peace, like guidance, like something holy that you don’t have to fight to keep. And when it comes, when it meets you in truth and gentleness and stillness, you’ll understand. You’ll see that God was never keeping love from you — He was preparing your heart to recognize it.
