I Don’t Understand How Anyone Could Not Love You
How could anyone find you and not find everything they’ve been searching for? How could anyone know you and then let you go?

I don’t understand how anyone could not love you.
How could anyone not see how beautiful and kind and loving you are? How could anyone not see that you hold a wondrous universe within you? A universe that lights up the darkest souls and heals the deepest wounds. How could anyone look at you and not see the depths of the oceans you hold in your eyes and the all the precious treasure hidden within you?
I don’t understand how anyone could not admire you.
How could anyone hear your story and not fall in love with you? How could anyone see your scars and the battles you’ve fought and not admire your strength and resilience? How could anyone not be moved by you and your journey? How could anyone find you and not find everything they’ve been searching for? How could anyone know you and then let you go?
I don’t understand how anyone could not want you.
How could anyone not want you around when you bring so much light and support them in every little way? How could anyone not want to hear your voice every night before they go to sleep when you make anyone’s world a better and safer place? How could anyone not want to hold your tired hands, kiss your soft lips and touch your delicate face?
I don’t understand how anyone could not adore you.
How could anyone not like your quirks and your goofy sense of humor? How could anyone not want to spend every second with you? How could anyone not find everything about you endearing? How could anyone not embrace the mess that makes you even more adorable? The mess that makes you real. The mess that sets you apart because you actually embrace it. You’re not ashamed of it. You’re not trying to be someone you’re not. You’re not trying to impress anyone.
I don’t understand how someone could not love you. I just don’t.
But I know that you’re not for everyone and that’s why some people don’t always see you the way you should be seen or love you the way you should be loved but these are just distracted people. People who don’t want to look deep enough. People who only scratch the surface.
But I promise you, the day someone decides to look deep enough, they’ll fall madly in love with you and they won’t be able to do anything about it. It will be the kind of love that comes into their life once and changes it. It will be kind of love that stays forever.
