The 6 Creepiest Unsolved Cases

1. The Case of Irene Garza, possibly killed by priest

All evidence pointed police to one conclusion: A priest had killed a beautiful 15-year-old schoolteacher. Searchers had found the lifeless body of former Miss South Texas, Irene Garza, face down in a anal in her hometown of McAllen. She’d disappeared on the day before Easter after going to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for confession…

2. A story from Reddit user WalterDisneey

In the mid-80s, my mum was a cleaner in Australia. She would do clean houses in suburban areas and would sometimes do houses in rural/wine regions (we lived near both). She would leave business cards at the local shops and got most of her business this way, and some through referrals and word of mouth.

One day she got a call from a lady who sounded like she was around 60, asking mum to clean her old farmhouse. She made a lot of odd demands and mum would usually meet clients before taking on new business. In this case, the lady did not want to meet mum and said she would leave the keys under the front doormat. Mum agreed mainly because the lady was quite obviously wealthy and was offering to pay mum substantially more than she would reasonably expect.

Mum went to the house on a Monday morning and said she already felt unnerved by the long driveway. The house was essentially in the middle of a very large, and very empty property. She found the keys and started cleaning.

About an hour in to the clean, she hears the back door shut. Mum was told no one would be at the house so she immediately felt unsafe. She stood frozen in the kitchen for what she said felt like 3-4 minutes although she said it could have been much longer. There was no other car on the property. She wanted to leave immediately but had two rooms left to do, both were bedrooms. She said as time passed and she heard nothing else, she decided that perhaps it was nothing, or perhaps something had fallen and it wasn’t the door after all.

She walked up the hallway and stepped into the bedroom. All over the bed were black and white photos. As mum got closer, she realised the photos were all of her. Some where taken at our family home, and many others were taken at other houses mum would clean. Some through windows or over fences. She used the house phone to call the police and immediately drive to the end of the driveway. The lady ended up being investigated but continued to claim that it was a break-in. After some time, the police stopped with their searching and we ended up moving to a new town 4 months later.

Every time mum tells me this story I get serious chills. Absolutely a true story too. To the day my mum thinks the lady had something to do with it. But why? And for what purpose

3. A story from Robert Grimminck

Circleville is a small city in Ohio that has a population of over 13,000. Its biggest event is the annual Circleville Pumpkin Show. It is also the home of a mysterious letter writer known as the Circleville Letter Writer. Starting in 1976 residents of Circleville began receiving mysterious, vindictive letters. Thousands of letters, written in block letters were sent to city officials and even normal citizens. One recipient of the letters was school bus driver Mary Gillespie. She received letters accusing her of having an extra-martial affair with a school official. On August 19, 1977 Mary’s husband Ron Gillispie received a phone call seeming to indicate the identity of the writer. He left his house with his gun to confront the writer. He was found dead a short distance from his house. His car was driven off the road and his gun had been fired once. He died as a result of the crash and it is unknown why he fired the gun. It is unclear if it was an accident or murder. Later, while driving her bus, Mary saw signs along her route harassing her. She went to take one down and discovered a booby-trap meant to fire a gun at her. The gun belonged to her former brother-in-law Paul Freshour. Freshour was convicted of attempted murder and was thought to be the Circleville writer. However, while incarcerated the letters continued despite him being in solitary confinement without access to letter writing material and his mail being monitored. He was denied parole because of the letters and received one himself after his parole was denied.

4. The disappearance of Amy Lynn Bradley (from Reddit user RoflPancakeMix)

Basically, a girl goes missing during a cruise with her family in 1998. A year later, a guy reported being approached by her at a brothel. She told him her name is Amy Bradley and asked him to help her. Before he could do anything, she was escorted upstairs. That guy ended up reporting this to the police… Several months later. By the time he reported it, the brothel had been burned down. To make things worse, this picture (NSFW)  had been emailed to her parents.

5. A story from Reddit user -Josh–

He was (and remains) the only suspect in the murder of his wife in the 70’s, and was believed to have fed her body to his pet alligator. He moved to Idaho sometime after his wife’s murder, where he was a middle school teacher and became the county coroner. He was my teacher in the mid-90s. One of my former classmates recently showed me this article, and it freaked me out.

This teacher lived next door to the school, and sometimes he would let us come over and feed Pogo, his pet alligator. Little did we know that he liked to feed PEOPLE to that alligator, too! He was seemingly obsessed with death. Although he was out science teacher, all I remember him talking about was deadly diseases (the hantavirus was a favorite of his), deadly animals (he had a pet gila monster), and deadly gasses (he talked about carbon monoxide poisoning a lot).

6. The death of Jimmy Hendrix (from Reddit user sputnikv)

the death of jimi hendrix is incredibly sketchy. the testimony of his girlfriend contradicts that of the paramedics that were called. the case was barely investigated and despite his proposed ‘drowning’ in his own vomit, his lungs were filled with copious amounts of red wine with almost no alcohol in his system otherwise

the theory is that at some point he was held down while bottles of red wine were forced down his throat. his manager is suspected to be involved his girlfriend at the time was going to tell the ‘true’ story at some point to the media in the 90s many years later only to be found asphyxiated in her car just a few days prior to being interviewed.
