These Movies Are The Best In 4DX

By

“Top Gun”

It’s true that any action move will be amazing in 4DX. Chase scenes and shootouts feel way more realistic, and there are a lot of ways that 4DX can be utilized throughout these types of films without seeming unnatural. “Top Gun: Maverick” was one of these films.

Throughout the movie, viewers ‘realistically’ followed along with any jet scene, including the seat movement during takeoff and being thrown around while the plane is in the air. Although the screen is a bit smaller during 4DX to allow for full immersion, that didn’t take away from “Top Gun: Maverick” quite as much as you might think. The movie also utilizes fog during some scenes for extra immersion — and of course, you’ll also notice plenty of wind effects during the action sequences.

“Furiosa”

Another action classic, the seat movements in “Furiosa” were said to have aligned perfectly with every action sequence in the movie. The movie seats throughout the film will move subtly or very violently depending on the scene, and you’ll find small thoughtful details that help with the immersion — like the feeling of a vehicle starting up, for example.

The only downside was that, upon the 4DX release, some theaters accidentally used too much smoke and blocked the screen temporarily. Not everyone had this problem, however. It’s likely that theaters that are more experienced with 4DX will have fewer issues like this.

“Twisters”

“Twisters” is pretty much a 4DX staple according to most people. Because the action is so focused on heavy rain, wind, and motion — literally everything 4DX was built to do — the general consensus is that “Twisters” is the best film you could ever hope to see in 4DX. Plus, the plot of the movie isn’t too hard to follow — which is a bonus when you’re distracted by your seat almost throwing you into the movie theater aisle.

The great part about “Twisters” in 4DX is how much more realistic it makes the tornadoes feel. According to most movie-goers, audience members actually felt like they were inside of the tornado while they watched. If you want a movie that’s a good first film to watch in 4DX, “Twisters” is probably it. Best of all, this film occasionally re-releases in theaters in the 4DX format because it’s so popular.
