These 4 Streaming Services Will Let You Watch The Most Movies This Year
Amazon Prime Video
Amazon Prime Video offers the most of the most videos when it comes to their streaming service. You won’t find another streaming service with as many movies as Amazon Prime Video. It’s a great option for finding movies from old to new – Amazon Prime itself often releases fresh exclusive content in the form of movies and TV shows, and you’ll find endless amounts of classics on their streaming service, too. Amazon Prime Video also benefits from being able to acquire the rights to movies that would otherwise only be available on another, more limited streaming service.
You can get Prime Video for just $8.99 per month, which makes it a great deal – however, many of the movies on its service will still require you to pay more money to access them. You can either buy or rent movies on Amazon Prime, which does severely limit the amount of free content you’ll be able to enjoy once you secure your Amazon Prime Video membership. Renting a movie can cost as little as a dollar, while buying it will usually hover around $10 or more. This makes Prime Video quite pricey when you really think about it, unless you mostly want to watch the platform’s free content. It is, however, a worthy choice for those who already have Amazon Prime – because Prime Video is included free as long as you’re a Prime member.
Netflix
It’s probably no surprise that one of the first movie and TV streaming services has the most amount of content, too. You’ll find loads of movies available on Netflix – though they often shift around as other streaming services shift their rights around – many of which are popular Netflix Originals. The brand has a big budget and isn’t afraid to pump out a lot of new content with it, which is perfect for anyone from horror lovers to romance fans.
Netflix with ads is the cheapest option on this list, starting at just $8. If you prefer to go ad-free, it’ll cost about $18 each month – which is just a little bit more than some of the other options on this list.
HBO Max
Ad-free HBO Max will cost you $16.99 monthly, though they also have a yearly plan you can purchase to save a bit. If you stick with the cheapest option at just over $10, you’ll have to suffer through a few ads while you watch your movie. For many people, though, it’s still worth it – HBO Max has a relatively large number of movies on its platform, and regularly creates new exclusive content for its streaming service, too. It has less movie content than both Amazon Prime and Netflix, but it generally has the third most amount of content out of most other streaming services.
If you really want to bundle your services and have the most movie access, it’ll cost you, but you’ll get a few other services added to the mix along with HBO Max, too.
Hulu & Disney+ Bundle
We’re not trying to cheat by giving you a bundle option here. Alone, Disney+ and Hulu just don’t have enough movies to make them worth purchasing by themselves (unless you’re a huge animated movie fan, that is). In fact, both Paramount and Peacock beat them individually in terms of sheer number of movies.
However, if you want the most access to movies new and old, taking advantage of the Disney+ and Hulu bundle will get you the fourth highest number of titles. The bundle starts at $10.99 if you don’t mind watching a few ads every now and then – if you want to stay ad-free, your plan will start at about $27 per month.
This isn’t as good a deal for your budget as just purchasing Netflix. However, if you’re a big Disney fan or want to check out the new content that Hulu occasionally puts out, it might be worth it for you. Also note that the most expensive Disney+ and Hulu bundle also includes Max, which will nab you an enormous amount of content if you’re a serious movie fanatic.
