Clooney vowed that they wouldn’t be doing an Oscar push for the film, a strange move for a movie with such a fine pedigree and an awards-ready premise. Still, with directorial fare like Good Night and Good Luck and a strong resume that includes Syriana and Gravity, it’s hard not to get excited for anything Clooney does. Color me cautiously optimistic.
