I don’t know if you can really be “excited” for a Lars Von Trier movie as much as you can prepare yourself. I made the mistake of seeing Anti-Christ on a first date, which is one of the dumbest decisions I’ve ever made. (It was Halloween and I was also dressed up as Charlie Chaplin.) I plan on seeing Nymphomaniac, but as it’s Von Trier’s first foray into NC-17 (Anti-Christ was unrated), I’m kind of scared. What could go farther than Anti-Christ, which heavily features genital mutilation? I guess I’m about to find out.
