This is the first time the 60-year-old franchise has ever created a spinoff version exclusively for a major streaming service.

If you know me, then you know about my love for the iconic trivia game show Jeopardy! Most nights at 7 PM, you can find me in front of my TV, yelling answers posed by Ken Jennings. My performance vacillates and some nights are definitely better than others. However, if there is ever a pop culture category, I tend to absolutely crush it.

Well, my time to shine may finally be on the horizon, as the 60-year-old franchise is teaming up with Amazon Prime to release a new spinoff series called Pop Culture Jeopardy! This will be the first time Jeopardy! has ever created an exclusive version with a streaming service.

While no host has been announced yet, nor has a premiere dates, casting is about to begin. Pop Culture Jeopardy! will be exactly like the traditional game show format (answer-and-question), but categories will be all things pop culture. Think music, film, TV, Broadway, books, social media, sports, fashion, and more.

A big difference in Pop Culture Jeopardy! is that contestants will compete as teams of three. To apply, interested people will need to create a trio and take individual Pop Culture Jeopardy! Anytime Tests. From there, individual scores will be combined into an overall team score. Teams with passing scores will get an application and then an invitation to a virtual audition to compete.

If chosen, Pop Culture Jeopardy! will be taped at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. You do not need to be local to the area to compete.
