7 Ways To Know He’s Not Looking For A Relationship (He’s Just Stringing You Along)

1. He only texts you late at night.

If he’s consistently only hitting you up between the hours of 10PM and 2AM, it’s not because he’s thinking about you as he drifts asleep, or because he is sincerely curious about your day. It’s not because he likes you. Chances are that the only reason he’s contacting you during this time is because he’s looking for a hookup, and a hookup only.

2. He never truly seems interested in what you have to say.

When you’re chatting, is he always checking his phone? Does he seem distracted? Does he usually only provide generic replies that don’t seem well thought out or sincere? If so, this is definitely a red flag that he’s not really interested in doing more with you than just fucking around.

3. He doesn’t remember little things about you.

He never really comments on the little things that make you, well, you. It’s not because he’s shy. It’s not because he’s super forgetful. It’s because he’s not noticing you. It means he’s not paying attention or listening.

4. He doesn’t remember the big things about you, either.

Big presentation at work? Career changing interview? Don’t expect a good luck text, or a follow up call asking how it went. This guy will probably look at you like a deer caught in headlights when you mention it when you meet up, too. He just doesn’t care, girl. You deserve better than that.

5. Your friends don’t like him.

Like, at all. Sometimes, our friends can sniff out a jerk and notice shitty behavior long before we can because they’re more removed from the situation. Don’t discount your friends’ opinions. They not only want what’s best for you, but they know what is, too.

6. He’s always late.

Everyone runs late. We’re not perfect beings, after all. But, if he’s pretty much never on time whenever you’re supposed to meet, it’s because he doesn’t respect you or value your time.

7. He never really asks about you.

At least not beyond the basics. He’ll start the text exchange with the usual “sup,” but then the conversation never goes much deeper. You just can’t seem to create a more complex connection with him, no matter how hard you try to get him to open up. The dude is a fuckboy and nothing more. And unless that’s what you’re looking for, then you need to let him go. TC mark
