I have heard many people say, “I’ll never find love.”

You will find love, but there are a few things that you must do in order to recognize it. You have to believe in the magic of love. You have to have faith. You have to get through all of the obstacles and make it to the finish line. It will be hard because, at times, it will feel like you may never find real love. But you have to believe in love’s power and it will manifest.

Today, a girl reached out to me because she needed advice. She asked me, “How is it possible for you to remain so positive about love?” She went on to say, “I want to give up on love and stop believing in it. At times, it feels very heavy and it gets very difficult to believe that I will find it.”

After I heard her question, so many different thoughts were going through my mind. There are so many people in the world who feel just like she does. And, she was right. When you search for real love, it isn’t easy. It is very hard. You know what’s easy? Settling is easy. Finding someone just to be content with is easy. Searching for temporary bonds and hookups is easy. But love? Finding love is anything but easy.

In your process of finding love, you will go through different obstacles that will try to steer you away from the finish line. At times, you will end up on a path that you didn’t intend to take. You will lose your way. I hope you know that there is nothing wrong with getting lost every now and then. You will find your way out. You just have to believe in love. You have to trust yourself enough to know that you will keep fighting for your heart.

I want to remind everyone who is reading this that it is okay to be scared of not finding love. I know that, at times, you want to give up because you feel like your heart can’t take anymore. You need to remember that you have so much love inside of you and because of this, you will find love. Someone out there has to feel just like you do.

I want to remind everyone that your heart doesn’t give up on you, so you can’t give up on it. It is not easy to keep fighting for your heart. But guess what? Anything worth having doesn’t come easy. You have to go through experiences that might bruise your heart. You will go through betrayal and people who will lie to you. You will see that people are able to harm you. You will come across people who may not take care of your heart. However, this shouldn’t make you give up on love. Instead, you should remember that the people who hurt you simply aren’t for you. Someone will come into your life and talk to your soul and want to get to know you inside and out.

I don’t blame you for feeling like you want to give up on love at times. I know that it gets tough and it can be overwhelming. However, you have to remember that you’re the one who holds the power of love. It is in your hands, not theirs. You have to remind yourself: you are your own heart’s hero. No one else is. If someone doesn’t take care of your heart, you need to redirect your energy and find love somewhere else. Go to war for your heart. Go to war for love. Save this and when you feel like giving up on love, I hope that you don’t.
