The New Pennywise Costume Has Been Revealed And DAMN

Earlier this summer, Bill Skarsgård was finally revealed in all his nightmare-inducing glory as the new Pennywise from the upcoming reboot of Stephen King’s “IT.” Now we have a full-body look at the creepy clown’s costume — and it’s not anything like the original Pennywise. Check it out:

It’s very… Elizabethan? A much older look then the baggy costume Tim Curry sported back in the 1980s. From Entertainment Weekly:

“The costume definitely incorporates all these otherworldly past lives, if you will,” Bryant says. “He is definitely a clown from a different time.”

Expectations are high for the reboot, but I personally love seeing brave new choices like this. Why do what’s already been done when you can explore fresh angles? And it seems that’s what the filmmakers behind the movie are doing. Check out these teaser images from director Andy Muschietti’s Instagram:

“IT” is set to premiere on September 18, 2017. TC mark
