The Crucial Lesson You Need To Learn In Your Twenties, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

(March 21st to April 19th)

That you can experience adventure and growth no matter where you are. Your endless curiosity and your thirst for knowledge are some of your best characteristics and they should never be contained, but it’s important for you to learn that every single day of your life can be an adventure, whether you’re traveling the world or living in the smallest town ever – as long as you’re always staying open to learning.

(April 20th to May 21st)

You need to learn that you can’t control other people’s emotions, only your own. You should celebrate your empathy and never apologize for how much you care for others. But it will be very healthy for you to understand that you can’t save anyone – you can only help them help themselves.

(May 22nd to June 21st)

That people will still love you, even if you aren’t perfect. There is nothing wrong with being a light and exciting presence around others, but it’s also important for you to realize that you are human, and it’s very much okay for you to show this more vulnerable side of yourself around others.

(June 22nd to July 22nd)

Your twenties will be a lot smoother and much less stressful when you accept that you’ll never be able to control everything. As someone who has always been very naturally perceptive and intuitive, it’s typically your instinct to try to fix people’s problems and solve emotional issues. But your life will become a lot easier when you accept that sometimes, you need to just walk away and let things go.

(July 23rd to August 22nd)

In no way do you need to hold back your passion or your enthusiasm, but you do need to learn to manage it and not be as aggressive with it. Because you’re such an eager and adrenalized individual, it’s hard for you to not want to shout your beliefs from the rooftops and open people’s eyes to new views. But the best way to respectfully and effectively influence other people is actually to listen, rather than shout.

(August 23rd to September 22nd)

This is the decade for you to slowly but surely figure out how to take it easier on yourself. You’re hardworking, determined, and focused, and you should never change that. But you should figure out how to be less hard on yourself, how to stop fussing over the trivial things, and how to accept that you’re human and you’ll make mistakes.

(September 23rd to October 22nd)

You’ve never had a problem making connections with people and you probably never will. But you also cannot allow your charming nature to become your crutch for everything. Even though it’s incredibly easy for you to get along with everyone, you also need to remember to stick to your beliefs and listen to your gut, instead of swaying and bending your opinions just to avoid controversy.

(October 23rd to November 22nd)

You need to learn to be honest with yourself when you’re frustrated, insecure, or upset. You definitely feel things deeply, but you have a harder time consciously acknowledging those feelings if it’s an emotion that is anything other than positive. Be okay with the fact that sometimes you’re going to not like the way you feel about yourself or others or your life, and that all of your emotions are valid.

(November 23rd to December 21st)

Your optimism and good humor are rare things in this world, and because of that, they are always very welcomed wherever you go. But you can still be an optimistic and hopeful person while still taking active control over your own life and deciding that you will be the one to make things happen, rather than leaving it up to fate or hoping for the best. It’s important for you to understand that there should be a very even balance between hopefulness and action – that is when you truly find success.

(December 22nd to January 20th)

You need to stop mistaking your pessimism for simply being ‘logical’ because they are not the same thing. It’s great that you’re incredibly ambitious, prepared, and practical – that’s something that a lot of other people struggle with in their twenties. But you also need to leave yourself some room to be positive, to have hopes and dreams, and to let yourself believe that your goals really are possible, as long as you work hard and refuse to let small failures or setbacks deter you from what you want.

(January 21st to February 18th)

Being the cool, detached one is not going to protect you. Whether it’s a job, a love interest, a friendship, or anything else in your life that’s important to you, it’s understandable to think that if you don’t let yourself get too invested or too excited, then you won’t be as heartbroken if things don’t work out. However, if you’re not letting yourself fully jump in and give each experience 100% of your heart, then you’re fully missing out on how much more incredible life can be when you let go and fully embrace whatever’s in front of you – even if you do get hurt in the end. That’s still less scary than wondering ‘what could have been’ if you had just tried a little harder.

(February 19th to March 20th)

Your compassion is bottomless and your sense of imagination is boundless, but you need to stop ‘picturing’ and start ‘doing.’ Everything feels a lot safer when it’s untouched and undamaged in your mind, but that doesn’t make it real. You need to start listening to what your mind is thinking about and to start going after those things – goals, dream jobs, an ex that you never let go of, whatever. You’re daydreaming about those things for a reason. So go get them. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
