How You Recharge After Too Much Socializing, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

(March 21st to April 19th)

Going on a long walk or, if it’s a multi-day event, finding a couple spare hours to branch off from the group and explore your surroundings on your own.

(April 20th to May 21st)

Finding a very close friend and taking a break to just spend some relaxing time with them and only them – because to you, even if you’re with another person, it’s still a relaxing and rejuvenating experience as long as it’s someone you feel really connected to.

(May 22nd to June 21st)

Doing as much of nothing as possible. As in – laying on the couch, watching a movie, leaving your phone and computer in the other room, and decompressing for a few hours and giving your brain the chance to fully and completely relax.

(June 22nd to July 22nd)

Surrounding yourself with pure silence, so that for once, the social side of your brain can take a break from working a million miles an hour and picking up on everything.

(July 23rd to August 22nd)

Reorganizing your room, purging your closet, or cleaning your place – so that your mind can relax and recharge while your body still gets to be physical and productive.

(August 23rd to September 22nd)

Diving into a good book or a brand new series you can bingewatch, so that you don’t waste your time overthinking or obsessing over every tiny little social interaction you had.

(September 23rd to October 22nd)

Feeling initially incapable of slowing down or being by yourself, but eventually getting used to it by spending your ‘alone time’ texting with friends and scrolling through social media.

(October 23rd to November 22nd)

Turning off your phone so that you are not at all tempted to respond to that text or return that friend’s call – and then going to bed and forcing yourself to sleep in for as long as you need to.

(November 23rd to December 21st)

Writing in your journal or rehashing the latest social event with one of your close friends, because even though you need some ‘down time,’ you won’t be happy unless you get the chance to reflect on all the good times you just had.

(December 22nd to January 20th)

Diving immediately back into work and checking and responding to all your emails. Because as soon as you have a ‘nice break’ from work, you start to really miss it.

(January 21st to February 18th)

Laying on your bed and spending an hour just thinking about what you want to do to decompress, because that feels just as good as actually decompressing.

(February 19th to March 20th)

Sending all of your friends thank-you texts or feelings-heavy texts about what a fun time you had, and then feeling pretty refreshed pretty damn fast. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
