When You Let God Lead, You’ll Never Be Lost

By

Karin Hadadan, best-selling author of Beauty in the Stillness, underscores that while our roads are long and winding, as long as we’re walking with God we will find our way with joy and love.

When we attune ourselves to God’s counsel, walking confidently along the path of life He reveals to us, we encounter the promise of this verse: joy through His presence.

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Psalm 16:11

This joy isn’t the fleeting satisfaction our world offers, but ‘eternal pleasures’ that truly fulfill our deepest longings. The psalmist David understood that God doesn’t merely point out a path—He actively ‘makes known’ the way that leads to abundant life.

When we insist on forging our own paths—following our timing, our plans, our will—we inadvertently step away from these eternal pleasures, settling instead for temporary satisfactions that leave us ultimately empty. The distinction is profound: worldly pleasures fade, while being at God’s ‘right hand’—the place of highest honor and closest fellowship—results in deep contentment and complete satisfaction found in God alone.

Jesus himself exemplified this truth perfectly. By faithfully walking the path God laid before Him, even through suffering, He experienced the resurrection joy that awaited ‘at the right hand’ of the Father. This verse invites us to the same discovery: that genuine joy isn’t found in circumstances but in the presence of God.

Walking confidently in faith means trusting that God is guiding each step, even when the path feels uncertain. His direction is often revealed gradually, inviting us to rely not on our understanding but on His presence. True joy and fulfillment are found not in temporary pleasures or fleeting circumstances but in deep communion with Him. As we grow in awareness of God’s guidance, we learn to seek satisfaction through His purpose rather than external achievements.

Even when clarity is lacking, faith reminds us that He has already made known the path of life, and that every step taken in His presence leads to lasting joy, peace, and spiritual confidence.
