According to Napoleon Hill, “The number one reason people fail is because they listen to their friends, family and neighbors.”
There are two mantras that I read mid-way through 2019 that led to the second half of the year being unrecognisable from the first.
You exist as a different person in the minds of everyone you have met. No matter what you say or do, others will make judgments and form a unique opinion or mental picture of you as a human being.
Take everything personally. Make everything about you. Form an opinion on whatever you see or hear.
Your time and your attention are your biggest assets.
Choose kindness because, deep down, you know it’s right.
All cruelty stems from weakness. This applies every time you make a snide remark or cruel comment or do something in an attempt to defame.
Please do not fool yourself into thinking that the right answer will just come to you, or the right opportunities will just find you. They won’t. Find them yourself.
If you are relying on anyone or anything else for your happiness, stop that right now.
Murder aside, we could all do with being just a little bit more Claire Underwood.
