8 Celebs We’d Love To See On ‘Survivor’
Since 2000, Survivor has graced the television screens of people all over the world.
While the original American version has continued to now 48 seasons (with at least two more confirmed), it’s transcended to several international adaptations, including Australia, Britain, and more. Its popularity and long tenure have ignited the hearts of millions of fans, which includes several celebrities.
Throughout its time, celebrities have made their love of Survivor known. From Sia awarding monetary prizes to fan-favorites for over ten seasons to Mike White actually going out on the island, many celebs have found ways to get involved in the long-running reality show. But now that Survivor 50 is around the corner, we’re thinking of more ways to spice it up … and one way would be an all-celebrity season of Survivor, so here are eight celebs we’d love to see go out on the island.
Adam Scott

A known fan of Survivor, Adam Scott rose to prominence in Parks and Rec but is more relevant than ever thanks to his starring role in Severance. In the Apple TV+ series, his character survives workplace horrors with a sense of humor, fighting with resilience to uncover the mysteries of Lumin. We know Adam can portray the gumption needed to win Survivor, but does he have it within himself? All we know for sure is that we’re tuning into this season.
Monét X Change

A force to be reckoned with, Monét X Change became a household name after her turn on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Perhaps making history as the first drag queen to play Survivor, she has faced enough resilience for a lifetime. Survivor would be a piece of cake. And she would be unafraid to take risks, make waves, and dazzle viewers with hilarious confessionals. As a fan of the show, we hope she’d also be eager to fly to Fiji.
Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally

Nick and Megan could play separately, but their fandom of the show and their charming relationship would make for a perfect celebrity addition to a Blood vs. Water season. Between their various podcasts, books, and projects together, their chemistry is palpable. But its their humor, emotional intelligence, and unstoppable drive that would make them the ideal Survivor celebs. Plus, they’ve both mentioned their love of Survivor and have even appeared on other reality shows (such as The Bachelor), so why wouldn’t they play the greatest game to ever grace our screens?
Tom Holland

Another fan of Survivor, albeit a bit more recent, the Spider-Man actor would be a classic Survivor player. He fits into the mold of the golden boy with his holistic lifestyle and emphasis on physical health, but could he handle the elements? At a young age, Tom went to an intensive boot camp to learn to play Billy Elliott, one of the most demanding roles in musical theater, so we know he can do difficult things. He’s likable, social, and would likely be a challenge beast … but he also has a reputation of being unable to keep secrets. Could he keep up with the strategic pace of the game?
Jennette McCurdy

Jennette became famous as Sam on iCarly, but her career has since taken an inspiring turn. She’s stepped out of the mainstream spotlight to write and direct her own projects. She created a one-woman tragicomedy called, I’m Glad My Mom Is Dead, which she developed into her memoir. Her introspection, resilience, and independence are traits that tend to do well on Survivor. As a fan of the show, she could play an understated social and strategic game while connecting with others and making us laugh at home.
Rob McElhenney

Rob is a good name for a Survivor player. Boston Rob became the mob boss expert of Survivor, considered one of the greatest players in the game’s 50 seasons. Rob Cesternino created a podcasting empire out of his time on Survivor. A celeb season could be the perfect opportunity for a new Rob to make his mark, and who better than producer-actor-writer-director-entrepreneur Rob McElhenney? The game requires players to wear many hats, adapt to different social and strategic elements, and be incredibly ambitious. Rob has all of those traits, but his charisma and creative thinking would make him an ideal addition to the Survivor legacy.
Mae Martin

While they may not have loved Survivor before, they definitely love it now. Mae rose to fame as a comic and actor, but is known in Survivor communities as iconic player Parvati Shallow’s partner. Parvati was previously married to fellow Survivor contestant John Fincher, but after they divorced, she came out as bisexual and announced her relationship with Mae. For queer comedy and Survivor fans, this was the greatest celebrity crossover. Mae’s comedy is philosophical, empathetic, observant, and funny, which would make them an incredible Survivor player. And with Parvati’s advice, Mae could dominate the game through to their final winning vote.
