Vanderpump Rules’ Brittany Cartwright Wants To Be The Next ‘Bachelorette’

"Bravo, give me a dating show, I'm here for it. I am down. Make me the Bachelorette!"

Brittany Cartwright first appeared on season 4 of Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules as the new girlfriend of series villain Jax Taylor. Seasons 5-8 followed the couple as they became engaged, got married (#jaxgotitwright) and bought a home in the valley. After being fired from the show, they welcomed their son Cruz into the world, split up, got back together and finally filed for divorce in August 2024. Now, Brittany is ready to move on.

In the most recent issue of People magazine, Cartwright says she’s ready to date and she wouldn’t rule out reality television as a way to find her next partner, “Bravo, give me a dating show, I’m here for it. I am down. Make me the Bachelorette!” Although she has been dating, nothing serious has developed. She told People “I just want somebody to be nice to me, and that’s sad. I just really want somebody to take me on dates. It doesn’t even have to be anything fancy. Something sweet, something small, will make my day.”

Cartwright, 35, doesn’t have extravagant expectations of what her next love might look like. “I’m just a girl from Kentucky, and we could watch a movie on the back of a truck, or we could have a picnic. It doesn’t matter. I just want to do fun things and feel that excitement of liking somebody again.”

As far as her ex goes, she’s just focused on co-parenting with him. Around the time Brittany filed for divorce Jax, 45, checked himself into an inpatient facility and announced he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD. He now works on his podcast, In the Mind of a Man, which has less than 3,000 followers on Instagram. He is currently on a 12-city tour and says some cities are sold out.

Brittany and Jax are both cast members on Vanderpump spinoff The Valley, which airs its second season beginning April 14, 2025. The first season of The Valley is streaming on Peacock.
