The White Lotus just ended it’s third season on Max. This season followed a cast of characters vacationing at a luxury resort in Thailand. If you’re craving more content about the foibles of rich people on holiday, these movies might scratch that itch.

Triangle of Sadness (2022)

Triangle of Sadness was nominated for three Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay.

This drama comedy follows a celebrity couple on a doomed cruise on a superyacht. When the ship sinks, the wealthy guests must fend for themselves on a deserted island. Accustomed to being waited on, the guests struggle to adjust as social hierarchy shifts in the tribe of survivors.

The Menu (2022)

Ralph Fiennes is a celebrity chef in The Menu.

This comedy thriller takes place on a remote island where an exclusive restaurant serves its wealthy clientele. Like The White Lotus, The Menu pokes fun at pretentious rich people and “elite” luxury experiences. The class divide is also highlighted, as working class Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) is the audience insert and heroine of the movie.

Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022)

Pete Davidson (center) is hilarious as a tone-deaf nepo baby in Bodies Bodies Bodies.

Bodies is a black comedy horror movie about a group of wealthy young people riding out a hurricane in a mansion. As the storm rages and the power goes out, the friends begin to turn on each other. Wealth and privilege is the subject of much of the humor in this movie as well as White Lotus.

All three seasons The White Lotus are streaming on Max.
