One of the most talked-about true crime cases of the century was the disappearance and murder of two-year-old Caylee Anthony. She was reported missing by her grandmother (who she lived with, along with her mother) on July 15, 2008 and her body was found that December. Due to her erratic explanations about Caylee’s disappearance, Casey Anthony was the prime suspect in her daughter’s murder. However, she was tried and found not guilty in 2011.

If you were wondering what Casey Anthony was up to in 2025, she just started a TikTok account. In her first video, Anthony describes herself as currently a “legal advocate and researcher”. She says she made the account to advocate for herself and her daughter and to “reintroduce herself in a professional capacity”.

The TikTok account is a companion to Anthony’s Substack. She discusses how she has been cursed with having a platform since 2008 (when her daughter was killed). The rambling three and a half minute video ends with Anthony saying her TikTok account is her way of “proverbially standing in the light”.
