Prediction: Derrick Levasseur Is Going To Win ‘The Traitors’ Season 3

By

Derrick Levasseur won the 16th season of ‘Big Brother’.

The Traitors on Peacock is one of the best new reality shows in a long time. It is a light-hearted spin on backstabbing shows like Survivor and Big Brother. All the drama takes place in a Scottish castle where faux-murders take place under the cover of darkness as the “faithful” players attempt to identify and banish the “traitor” players. As a bonus, the show stars iconic D-list celebrities, so there’s really something for everybody.

I ranked the cast of season 3 of The Traitors before the season started and correctly identified that Boston Rob would be the first boot (okay, he wasn’t booted, but the cast did refuse to add him as a player). I also predicted that Big Brother heavyweight Derrick Levasseur would win the season, a guess I’m doubling down on now that five episodes have aired. Here is my updated ranking of how well each of the Traitors cast members will do from best to worst.

The Traitors ranking as of episode 5:

  1. Derrick Levasseur (Big Brother)

Derrick has great instincts and social skills, an important combination in games like Big Brother and The Traitors. He doesn’t come off like a gamer unlike other strategizers like Boston Rob and Tony Vlachos. He is playing an under-the-radar game and has the alliances and skill to take it all the way to the end.

2. Dolores Catania (Real Housewives of New Jersey)

Dolores is a well-liked player but not a strategist. If she can avoid being murdered for being a faithful who won’t take any suspicion off of the traitors, she is exactly the kind of player who almost makes it to the end.

3. Dylan Efron (Zac Efron’s brother)

Dylan is playing a great game. He has good instincts, which may get him murdered — however, he caught on quickly that he should keep his suspicions to himself and his inner circle. I think he has a good chance to make it to the final episodes of the season.

4. Tom Sandoval (Vanderpump Rules)

At this point, why wouldn’t everyone keep Tom Sandoval around? The Traitors like him because he is literally always wrong with his guesses. The faithful like him because no one thinks he could pull off being a traitor. He’s a great lap dog for the traitors to keep around until the end, at which point he will be disposed of.

5. Bob Harper (The Biggest Loser)

I really wanted to hate Bob Harper because of his involvement in the traumatizing Biggest Loser franchise, but he’s so likeable it’s impossible not to root for him. This charm is also what wins over his fellow competitors and I don’t see him being viewed as a traitor anytime soon.

6. Britney Haynes (Big Brother)

Britney is playing the most under-the-radar game of all the gamers. This is promising for her longevity on The Traitors. With suspicion Danielle already, would she really risk murdering Britney? Probably not. And the faithful don’t suspect her of being a traitor.

7. Wes Bergmann (The Real World: Austin)

I’m a Wes stan from his legacy on The Challenge, however there have been many seasons where he underperformed strategically. He’s been off to a shaky start on The Traitors. I believe he has what it takes to go all the way, but that may just be wishful thinking.

8. Gabby Windey (The Bachelorette)

Gabby is playing a good social game and isn’t too loud about who she thinks the traitors are. She is a mid-level player in my opinion and should make it past the halfway point.

9. Caroline Wiger (Survivor)

Caroline is hard to rank. On one hand, she’s so chaotic it’s hard to imagine she will manage to keep being a traitor a secret for the entire game. On the other hand, this is exactly why no one suspects her of being a traitor.

10. Chrishell Stause (Selling Sunset)

Even though Chrishell has played a pretty aggressive game (ex: her immediate public fight with Tom Sandoval), she has avoided suspicion of being a traitor. This is a strong sign that she has some time life on the show.

11. Ivar Mountbatten (a British Lord)

I think when the current group of suspected traitors (Ciara, Danielle, Boston Rob) are gone, the faithfuls will target Ivar again.

12. Sam Asghari (Britney Spears’ ex-husband)

Sam is just kind of a hot guy who is… there. He will likely be targeted for murder by the traitors because no one is going to suspect Sam of being a traitor, so there’s no point for the traitors to keep him around.

13. Danielle Reyes (Big Brother)

Danielle is not a good liar. Multiple people already suspect Danielle and that list is just going to get longer the more time she stays in the house. Tick tock.

14. Boston Rob (Survivor)

Boston Rob made the mistake of thinking too short-term with how aggressively he went after Bob the Drag Queen. It was suspicious and Wes nailed it on the head when he said the only way someone could be so certain of who is a traitor is if they were a traitor themselves. I don’t think he has a future in this game, but he is strategic enough to throw under players under the bus to at least delay his exit.

15. Ciara Miller (Summer House)

I thought Ciara’s social skills (a must for the Summer House cast) would take her deep in the game. However, Ciara is already viewed as a traitor and with Nikki Bella being banished and revealed as a faithful, it’s going to be hard for Ciara to overcome the perception that she is a traitor. Also, she hasn’t done a great job of articulating why she is a faithful when confronted, even though she literally is a faithful.

Previously murdered/banished players:

  • Banished: Nikki Garcia (WWE)
  • Murdered: Robyn Dixon (Real Housewives of Potomac)
  • Banished: Bob the Drag Queen (RuPaul’s Drag Race)

  • Banished: Tony Vlachos (Survivor
  • Murdered: Chanel Ayan (Real Housewives of Dubai)
  • Banished: Wells Adams (The Bachelorette)
