Here’s The Trailer For A Brand New A24 Thriller
A young writer is given the opportunity to visit the isolated compound of mega-celebrity.
A24 is the studio known for unique films like Spring Breakers (2012), Uncut Gems (2019) and the Oscar-winning Everything, Everywhere All at Once (2022). They have put out some of the best and most interesting horror and thriller movies of the past decade: The VVitch (2016), Green Room (2016), The Blackcoat’s Daughter (2017), Hereditary (2018), Midsommar (2019), Talk to Me (2023) and Ti West’s X trilogy (2022-2024). The trailer for their upcoming release, Opus, is now out.
Opus is about a young writer (Ayo Edebiri) who is given the highly coveted opportunity to visit the isolated compound of mega-celebrity musician Alfred Moretti (John Malkovich). The reclusive artist has kept himself out of the public eye for 30 years and it is unclear why he has suddenly invited a group of journalists to his home. As the trailer shows, the trip takes a turn when the young writer notices Moretti’s twisted motive, which the other star-struck journalists refuse to acknowledge.
Opus will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27, 2025. It will be released in theaters on March 14, 2025.
