Timothée Chalamet says he got a ‘D’ on this presentation for his statistics class in high school.

Most people can appreciate the acting talent of Timothée Chalamet, but only true fans have been in the trenches long enough to know the lore. Chalamet is not a bland Hollywood star, his history is a fun deep dive for anyone. If you don’t know it’s actually pronounced “Tim-O-Tay” (no, he doesn’t want you to say it like that) then prepare for a wild ride into this man’s digital footprint.

These are the Timothée Chalamet archive’s greatest hits:

  1. “Statistics”. Timothée’s rap name is “Lil Timmy Tim”. When he attended  LaGuardia High School in New York City he made this rap video for his statistics class with teacher Ms. Lawton. While the lo-fi nature of the video should make it a cringe memory, the song is so catchy (and Lil Timmy Tim is so charming) it’s more endearing than embarrassing.
  2. Roman’s Revenge. One of the most well-known pre-fame videos of Timothée is his performance of Nicki Minaj’s “Roman’s Revenge” at a school talent show. He nails some choreo and sings an original rap which includes the bar “It’s time to do my dance / Timmy Tim, pull up your pants / Voulez vous couchez avec moi? / Oui, je suis from France” before launching into the song from Minaj’s Pink Friday album and ending with a dance to LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem”.
  3. ModdedController360. This is the username of the YouTube account Timothée ran when he was 15 in which he discussed modded Xbox controllers he made himself. For the low, low price of $10 you could have owned a custom piece of Chalamet history.
  4. “Timmy Tim AKA Two Inches Proud.” Another Lil Timmy Tim video, this was likely shot in Hartley Hall at Columbia University. Timmy raps about girls and his career, specifically his recent role as Finn Walden in Homeland.
  5. Rap Roundtable. Chalamet’s first time hosting SNL brought us this parody of a hip-hop panel which featured Chalamet and Pete Davidson as SoundCloud rap duo “Zan Mob” AKA “Gwap Lord” and “SmokeCheddaDaAssGetta.” Timothée can be seen covering his face in the latter part of the sketch as the urge to laugh becomes unbearable. On his second time hosting SNL, his character SmokeCheddaDaAssGetta returned to the Rap Roundtable.
  6. “What’s up Dickhead?” This is a light moment when Timothée was being interviewed on the Oscars red carpet. His Dune costar Zendaya arrived and Chalamet interrupted his interview to greet her with “What’s up Dickhead!” It’s a funny moment of levity at a “serious” black tie event.
  7. I Gotta Feeling. The most recent entry into Timmy Tim lore is his performance art (?) which aired live on Instagram on December 23, 2024. The video features Chalamet in a warehouse listening to the Black Eyed Peas song “I Gotta Feeling” while affirmations like “congratulations timothee” and “well done timmy” appear on a giant screen.
