Timothée Chalamet stars in Dune: Part Two.

The 97th Academy Awards will air on March 2, 2025. This year’s nominations heavily feature Emilia Pérez, The Brutalist and Wicked. This article lists the Oscar nominees that are currently available to stream on Netflix.

Emilia Pérez

Karla Sofía Gascón stars as Emilia Pérez.

This year’s most nominated film was released by Netflix, so it will likely stay on the streaming service forever. Panned by movie fans, Emilia Pérez is about a cartel kingpin who undergoes gender-affirming surgery and then struggles to reconnect with their family. Oh, and it’s a musical for some reason.

Oscar nominations: Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, Best Director, Best Actress (Karla Sofía Gascón), Best Supporting Actress (Zoe Saldaña), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Film Editing, Best Sound, Best Cinematography, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Original Score and Best Original Song.

Dune: Part Two

Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides in Dune: Part Two.

Dune: Part Two is a gorgeous and compelling epic sci-fi film starring Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, an exiled Duke (and rumored messiah) who joins rebel Fremen in their quest for freedom from the evil House Harkonnen. Even if you’re not familiar with Dune lore, this is a must-see for anyone who enjoys a good blockbuster. Dune: Part Two is currently streaming on Netflix along with Dune (2021). However, part one leaves Netflix on Jan. 31, so watch it soon!

Oscar nominations: Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Sound and Best Visual Effects.

Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl

This movie has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

This animated comedy is the sixth Wallace & Gromit movie and it was released by Netflix, so it won’t be leaving the service any time soon. Vengeance Most Fowl sees criminal mastermind Feathers McGraw framing Wallace via his robotic garden gnome. This movie is rated PG and is family-friendly.

Oscar nominations: Best Animated Feature.
