A Master List Of Everything Shady About Ghislaine Maxwell

Ghislaine Maxwell is a wealthy British socialite known for her decades long friendship with sex predator and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. If you’ve been living under a rock, here is a good explainer of Jeffrey Epstein’s pattern of sexual abuse against minors. Unfortunately, many more details of Epstein’s crimes were lost when he died by “suicide” in jail.

While Epstein was clearly motivated by pedophilia, people are more puzzled by Maxwell’s involvement in the extremely disturbing child sex trafficking crimes Epstein was accused of because she is a woman and seemed to not be herself interested in molesting children. It’s hard to decide if that’s more or less disturbing. Her trial began on November 29, 2021. In the hopes that she doesn’t mysteriously die before she can be brought to justice, here is a master list of everything shady about Ghislaine Maxwell.

Background

[*] Ghislaine Maxwell was born in 1961 and raised in a 53-room mansion in England. Her father, Robert Maxwell, was once one of the richest men in the world but fell from grace before his death as his fraudulent business practices were exposed. Robert Maxwell was the inspiration for the villain in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. Ghislaine was her father’s favorite child out of her 8 brothers and sisters.

[*] Maxwell held jobs in publishing in and around her dad’s media empire and spent a lot of time on her father’s yacht (which had its own disco), the Lady Ghislaine. At one point her father invented a company in New York simply so that Ghislaine could have a lucrative and impressive job. The company operated at a loss.

[*] Robert Maxwell’s body was found near the Lady Ghislaine in 1991. It is unknown whether his drowning was accidental or murder. After his death it was revealed he stole the pensions of his employees.

[*] After her father’s death, Ghislaine moved to the U.S. with the annual $80,000 she was given from a trust created by her father. She became a well known socialite.

Relationship with Jeffrey Epstein

[*] It is believed that Ghislaine originally met Jeffrey Epstein through her father, but accounts of their first meeting vary.

[*] In the early 1990s Ghislaine and Jeffrey Epstein dated. During this time Ghislaine was considered “the lady of the house” by Epstein’s staff, though he continued seeing other women. Epstein also called Ghislaine his best friend. As of 1992, Ghislaine was in charge of Epstein’s staff.

[*] Ghislaine and Epstein were friends with many elites including Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Prince Andrew.

[*] Because she had a pilot’s license, Ghislaine could transport Epstein, his guests, and his employees via helicopter to Epstein Island. This is the 70-acre island where he brought children to prey on as recently as 2019.

[*] In 2008 Epstein was caught soliciting a minor for prostitution. He served 13 months in prison and became a registered sex offender. Ghislaine Maxwell publicly stopped associating with Epstein after his conviction.

The Accusations

[*] Virginia Giuffre alleged that Ghislaine Maxwell had hired her in 1999 to be an underage prostitute for Epstein as part of Virginia Roberts Giuffre v. Maxwell (2015). At the time, Giuffre was working at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida owned by Donald Trump. There, she met Maxwell and Epstein who she says groomed her into becoming a personal sex worker for Epstein who trained her in his specific oral sex preferences. She also alleges that Epstein trafficked her to Prince Andrew.

[*] Sarah Ransome alleged that Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein hired her as a massage worker and then “threatened to physically harm her or destroy her career prospects if she did not comply with their sexual demands at his mansion in New York and on his private Caribbean island” as part of Sarah Ransome v. Epstein and Maxwell (2017).

[*] Maria Farmer says in 1996 she was hired to work the front desk in Epstein’s townhouse and then sexually assaulted by Epstein and Maxwell while being held prisoner at the Ohio mansion of Les Wexner, the owner of Victoria’s Secret. Farmer recalls specifically how Ghislaine would procure women and children while saying she was “getting Victoria’s Secret models”.

[*] Farmer also says that the bedrooms and bathrooms of Epstein’s townhouse (where Ghislaine had her own floor) were under constant surveillance, which means that in addition to molesting minors, the couple was also making child pornography.

[*] Maria Farmer’s sister Annie Farmer also said in Annie Farmer v. Maxwell and Epstein’s Estate (2019) that when she was 15 she was flown to Epstein’s New Mexico home where she says Maxwell and Epstein sexually assaulted and battered her on a massage table.

[*] The most chilling moment of Maria Farmer’s story is when she said Ghislaine Maxwell told her she knew Farmer went for a daily jog on the West Side Highway. Farmer says Maxwell advised her to “look over her shoulder” because there were “so many ways to die”.

[*] Epstein and Maxwell were sued under the New York state’s Child Victims Act by Jennifer Araoz who says she was hired to teach an aerobics class at Epstein’s New York City townhouse but was instead assaulted by Epstein and asked to help him procure other women and girls to abuse. This became Jennifer Araoz v. Epstein’s estate, Maxwell, and Jane Does 1–3 (2019).

[*] In Priscilla Doe v. Epstein’s estate (2019), “Priscilla Doe” says that Epstein stole her passport while at Epstein Island so she would be unable to leave. She says Maxwell gave her detailed instructions on how to perform oral sex on Epstein while she was a prisoner of the island.

[*] In Jane Doe v. Maxwell and Epstein’s Estate (2020), “Jane Doe” says she was 13 when she was recruited by Maxwell from the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts and abused for four years by both Epstein and Maxwell.

[*] There’s a theory that Ghislaine Maxwell was one of the most powerful mods on Reddit, giving her the ability to curate what news articles that people saw on the 7th most popular website in the U.S.. The evidence for this theory is laid out here. Basically, there was a Reddit user named u/maxwellhill that moderated Reddit’s most prominent communities. The account was extremely active for 14 years and suddenly went offline at the time of Maxwell’s arrest. The user appears to be British and frequently fought against laws that protect children from predators.

[*] Maxwell founded the TerraMar Project in 2012. On the surface, TerraMar is an environmental non-profit. However, the project is believed by some to be a shell non-profit whose only purpose was to give Maxwell a reason to socialize with wealthy people, give her credentials after Epstein’s conviction, or some other nefarious purpose.

Epstein’s arrest and death

[*] In July 2019 Epstein was arrested for sex trafficking and sex trafficking conspiracy.

[*] On August 9, 2019 2,000 pages of documents from the Virginia Roberts Giuffre were unsealed and made available to the public.

[*] On August 10, 2019 Jeffrey Epstein was found dead, alone in his jail cell. Epstein had been on suicide watch. Two guards were supposed to be checking on him every 30 minutes but they both claimed they fell asleep that night. Epstein was also supposed to be under the surveillance of two cameras, which both mysteriously malfunctioned.

Retreat from public life and arrest

[*] After Epstein’s 2008 conviction for child prostitution Maxwell publicly retreated. At first, she only distanced herself publicly from Epstein, but slowly began to retreat from public life altogether. By 2017, not even her lawyers knew her address or what country she lived in.

[*] The retreat was a way for Ghislaine to avoid legal troubles as lawyers involved in several lawsuits were unable to reach her. Officials were also unable to subpoena her to give testimony against Epstein. Notably, during this time she surfaced to attend Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.

[*] On July 2, 2020 Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested at a New Hampshire home she purchased with cash in 2019 through a shell company. She has been charged with enticement of minors, sex trafficking of children, and perjury. Maxwell has repeatedly been denied release on bail for being a flight risk. Her trial is currently set for July 2021.

[*] One of the sickest parts about Ghislaine Maxwell is that at least since Epstein’s conviction for soliciting a child prostitute in 2008 everyone has known that she had some role in procuring children for sex but she was still invited to events by people who wanted to socialize with her. In a now deleted tweet former Reddit CEO Ellen Pao recalled Maxwell being invited to a party with a “tightly controlled” guest list for the venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins where Pao was a partner at the time.
