Unique New Zombie Thriller ‘Uncontained’ Is Streaming Today On Screambox

Uncontained is proof that there are still plenty of ways to make fresh and compelling zombie movies.

By

A drifter wakes up alone in a forest, completely buried under heavy snowfall. Nearby, a little boy and his younger sister have been let alone in a house isolated far away from civilization. Around them, an infection turns people into zombie-like monsters.

So begins Uncontained, a fresh spin on zombie movies from writer, director, and star Morley Nelson. It is a movie that takes a measured, dramatic approach to the genre, though it doesn’t shy away from action when the moment is right. Take a look at the trailer below.

Like many zombie stories, Uncontained plays around with the idea that humans might be just as, if not more, dangerous as the zombies themselves. But that’s only the beginning. As the story develops, some interesting twists help the film stand apart from the horde. It’s the mystery that hooks you into the story, but it’s the suspense and drama after the twist that is the most compelling part.

Uncontained is the directing debut of Morley Nelson, a former police officer who transitioned into a career of screenwriting for television, film, and video games. Morley also wrote Uncontained and stars as the nameless drifter who stops wandering when he comes upon a brother and sister who need his help.

Uncontained began streaming on Screambox on March 11th, 2025. You can also rent or purchase the film digitally on Amazon Prime Video.
