Smile 2 is now available to watch as part of your Prime Video subscription!

Previously you could only rent or purchase Smile 2 if you wanted to watch it on Prime Video, or you had to sign up for the extra MGM+ tier, But now, as of March 4th, it’s “free” for all subscribers to the Amazon service. Smile 2 is also still streaming on Paramount+.

Smile 2 was one of the most successful horror films of 2024, making back over four times its budget and getting solid reviews from fans and critics alike. The sequel follows Smile (2022), continuing the story of the evil entity that torments its victims with, among other things, visions of horrific smiles plastered across people’s faces.

Naomi Scott stars in Smile 2 as Skye Riley, a pop star who becomes the target of the entity after experiencing a traumatic event. Skye’s dark past comes back to haunt her as her already lonely and stressful life is threatened by a force she struggles to understand in the short time she has left to live.

Smile 2 is an excellent follow-up that takes what was established in Smile and pushes it into new and terrifying directions. The jump scares are wicked, the story is gripping, and the finale is even more wild than the first film. If you missed it in theaters and still haven’t seen it at home yet, you really need to check it out now.

Besides, it’s a good time to get invested in the Smile franchise. Parker Finn, the writer and director of both movies so far, has already confirmed that he plans to continue the series. Though no specifics have been revealed yet, it was reported late last year that production on Smile 3 will begin sometime in 2025. Hopefully we’ll get more news on that soon. For now, why not revisit (or watch for the first time) one of the best horror sequels of 2024, Smile 2?
