The common lesson between these two movies? Don't go into houses in the woods. Ever.

For many horror fans, slasher movies are like comfort food.

We can turn on any slasher movie and have fun with it, regardless of whether it’s a big-budget studio release or a much smaller indie film. In fact, it’s the smaller slasher flicks that are often the most fun. With that in mind, take a look at these two brand-new indie slashers released digitally today!

Director’s Cut

When a struggling band receives an offer from a stranger to direct a music video for them for free, they jump at the opportunity. But after traveling to an isolated and abandoned mansion, the musicians find themselves as the targets of a killer. Co-starring the always entertaining Louis Lombardi (Edgar in the TV series 24) as Mister Director.

Revenge of the Boogeyman

The setup here is instantly recognizable for horror fans; A group of friends go to a cabin in the woods to help one of their own deal with their addiction. There is a local story about a boogeyman which, naturally, turns out to be true. There’s a lot of spookiness and silliness in Revenge of the Boogeyman, and it’s worth a look for fans of low-budget supernatural slashers.
