3 Brutal New Thriller Movies That Were Just Released

The last days of March are bestowing us with some great new cinema.

Here are three brand new thrillers, just released and adding that extra dose of adrenaline to get us through the final days of March.

Ash stars Eiza González (3 Body Problem) as Riya Ortiz, the sole survivor of an incident that killed the rest of her space-faring crew. Now, on an alien planet with no memory of recent events, Riya tries to piece together what happened while dealing with the arrival of a stranger (Aaron Paul) who claims he is responding to Riya’s distress call. Ash is described as a nightmarish and trippy bit of sci-fi action and horror.

Eddie (Bill Skarsgård) is a small-time criminal who is in need of some quick cash so he can be a better father for his daughter. He thinks he’s found what he’s looking for when he comes across an unlocked luxury SUV, but after he enters the vehicle, he is locked inside. Trapped, Eddie is now a prisoner inside of a vigilante’s car rigged to torture anyone trying to steal it. The premise of Locked is unique enough to be interesting (even though it is a remake of the 2019 film 4×4), and Bill Skarsgård is always fun to watch in any role he plays.

Magazine Dreams

Killian Maddox (Jonathan Majors) is an isolated bodybuilder whose obsessive pursuit of the perfect physique leads him into a dark spiral. Battling inner rage, loneliness, and the devastating effects of steroid abuse, Killian grows increasingly disconnected from reality. Magazine Dreams explores the troubling consequences of obsession. It has been described as a “punishing experience” to watch this film.
