4 New Horror Movies Streaming Today (February 21, 2025)

If you're in the mood to stay home and watch horror, here are four new horror movies released digitally today.

This week’s new streaming arrivals consist of a variety of lower-budget movies with a wide variety of styles. We have a demonic horror Western, a bloody curse movie, an alligator survival horror, and a home invasion chiller to choose from. So, check out the trailers, read our first-look impressions, and get watching!

Blood in Them Hills

Three strangers and a baby must rely on each other for survival when they find themselves pursued by a demonic beast in the Old West. The Horror Western is a relatively rare subgenre, but it is often quite fun. The CGI in the trailer for Blood in Them Hills looks a little dodgy, but the story and characters look promising.

Tarot Curse

Tarot Curse looks like a cross between Tarot (2024) and any movie in the Final Destination franchise. It’s a curse movie about a bunch of high school students who participate in a Tarot card reading. As you might expect, they then begin dying in ways predicted by the cards. This one could be fun in a cheesy way. After all, many recent Tubi Originals have been entertaining. And hey, it can’t be any worse than Tarot (2024).

The Bayou

The Bayou is about huge, aggressive alligators hunting people in a bayou. What more convincing do you need to check it out? Alligator (and crocodile) horror movies often stray towards the campy side of survival horror, but The Bayou looks like it takes itself seriously enough to have good drama, but not-serious enough to eliminate chances for over-the-top moments.

Everyone is Going to Die

Everyone is Going to Die looks like a home invasion movie with elements of the psychological torture of something like Funny Games (1997, 2007). It’s about a father and daughter who have a terrible relationship, and two women in masks who invade the father’s home. It’s a little difficult to get a read on how good it might be from the trailer, but the premise sounds like it could be interesting if it can build the right kind of tension.
