This Is How You’re Sabotaging Your Friendships, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Aries (March 21st – April 19th)

Sometimes you’re a little too aggressive. You’re a lot of fun, Aries, but you put people off. You’re too proud for your own good, which can lead to you saying things you don’t really mean — or maybe that you mean but shouldn’t say regardless. You have quite a few enemies, and I’ll bet at least one of them was a former friend.

Taurus (April 20th – May 20th)

You’re too stubborn for your own good. You always have to prove that your right, and you’re not afraid to put up a fight to prove it. The problem is that you care so much about winning that you get lost in the moment and forget that sometimes other things matter, too — like actually keeping your friendships.

Gemini (May 21st – June 20th)

You say what you think — the problem is, it’s not always nice. While some people can swallow your unpopular opinions or unwarranted criticism, others will feel put off or personally attacked. Sure, it’s just you being you, but also you don’t always have to be so rude about it.

Cancer (June 21st – July 22nd)

Your moodiness can be a lot to handle. At your best, you’re great — but at your worst, you can be a little too much. You can be self-pitying and oversensitive, taking out your bad moods on the wrong people. We can sympathize, but it’ll only be so long until someone finally snaps and cuts you out because of it.

Leo (July 23rd – August 22nd)

You need too much attention. Like, way too much. You get touchy when you aren’t in the spotlight, and when your friends pay attention to someone else, you act out to get everyone to focus on you again. It’s cute at first, but don’t be surprised if you quickly wear your loved ones down and they blow up on you.

Virgo (August 23rd – September 22nd)

You’re overly critical, Virgo. It can be a good thing in certain aspects of your life, but when it comes to friendship, it can be what ultimately pushes people away. Sure, you just want the best for the people you love, but when you’re constantly picking at their imperfections and correcting them, you’re bound to run people off.

Libra (September 23rd – October 22nd)

You talk behind people’s backs. Of course, when you do it, you don’t immediately realize it’s a bad thing — you just need to vent. But you shit talk like none other, Libra, and eventually the things you say will come back to bite you. Once your friends find out what you’ve been saying about them, they’ll be over your bullshit.

Scorpio (October 23rd – November 21st)

You get jealous. You’re loyal to friends, and you expect the same loyalty in return. The problem is that people want to be friends with other people too, Scorpio. You get upset when your BFF grows close to someone else or when your group inducts a new member. People can’t handle your jealous outbursts.

Sagittarius (November 22nd – December 21st )

You don’t like clingy people. The problem is, you can see almost anything as clingy if you’re in the right mood. People just want to have normal friendly interactions with you, but if you view them as “too much”, you’ll push them away. You’ll tell people they were “needy” or “crazy”, but the truth is they just wanted to be a good friend.

Capricorn: (December 22nd – January 19th)

You see people as a means to an end. Of course, you love your friends, it’s just that you aren’t afraid to use them if you think it’ll help further your own agenda. That kind of attitude doesn’t always fly with people, especially when they start feeling like you only care about them when you need them. You’re bound to hurt some feelings and lose some connections.

Aquarius: (January 20th – February 18th)

You’re quick to cut people out if they don’t meet your expectations. And you have high expectations, Aquarius. You put your friends on a pedestal, but the second they do something wrong, you can’t bear to look them in the eye anymore. You’ll be the first to say that making mistakes is all part of being human, but you have some trouble practicing what you preach.

Pisces (February 19th – March 20th)

You always make yourself the victim. Somehow, every misunderstanding between you and your friends become their fault. You might make them feel guilty at first, but eventually they’re going to get tired of always feeling bad for you — and, honestly, tired of feeling bad about themselves. Don’t be surprised when people start pulling away. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
