This Man Stole Over 100 Phones At Coachella And People On Twitter Are Calling Him A ‘Hero’
There's been a lot of Coachella talk this week, but here's one of the wildest things I've heard so far: one guy was caught with over 100 stolen phones.
There’s been a lot of Coachella talk this week — like, did you see Rihanna’s outfit? — but here’s one of the wildest things I’ve heard so far: one guy was caught with over 100 stolen phones.
It all started when some of the festival-goers realized their phones had gone missing, which isn’t completely unusual at concerts like that. But when they activated their “Find My Phone” apps, most of them were able to trace them to 36-year-old Reinaldo De Jesus Henao.
Henao was detained by security workers, and when police arrived, they found over 100 stolen phones in the man’s backpack.
I know I shouldn’t be impressed, but, like, I’m kind of impressed.
Henao was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and possession of stolen property. However, people’s responses to the news probably aren’t quite what you’d expect.

Is it wrong to call him a hero?

When you think about it, it’s almost a little ironic.

Look, I’m not saying it’s right that he stole all those phones, I’m just saying I’m mildly impressed and sufficiently entertained. Good luck explaining all this to the authorities, Henao.
