Horror-Comedy ‘Sketch’ Brings TV Comedy Legends To The Big Screen

Variety calls the film a "stellar indie family adventure" with a "gnarly twist."

Two of our favorite TV comedy stars are joining forces in Sketch, the feature debut from writer-director Seth Worley.

You can check out Seth Worley’s previous work (commercials, short films, etc.) at sethworley.com.

After premiering at TIFF 2024, early reviews have Sketch sitting at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. The plot? A widowed father struggles to raise his daughter—until her hilariously creepy drawings start coming to life and terrorizing the town.

But the real draw is Tony Hale (Veep) and D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place) leading the charge. While I was surprised to see the film picked up by Angel Studios (Sound of Freedom), the trailer speaks for itself: with these comedy heavyweights at the helm, we can surely expect offbeat laughs, heart, and plenty of horror hijinks.

Sketch hits theaters August 6, 2025.
