You Look Best When You’re Confident

Neonbrand

Some days you feel like you don’t fit in. You consider your differences as a curse rather than something to be proud of. You start to notice how everyone seems to be doing well in their lives and suddenly, you feel inferior.

You measure yourself against someone else. You get discouraged in going after what you want, only because you see something in other people that you don’t have. You feel insecure in your own skin.

You’re so busy comparing yourself to others that you don’t realize that everyone’s story is not exactly the same.

There is a different timeline for each one of us. We all have our own moments of triumphs. Your life might not be as amazing as you expect it to be right now, but know – and believe – that everything changes for the better.

What you need to do is be focused in your own story and don’t let other things get into your way of achieving your goals. Don’t let your thoughts be clouded by your insecurities. Every day, you have the choice to allow something or someone to bring you down – but always choose to ignore anything that’s not important to you and to your future.

The only thing that matters is how you get to where you’re going. And the easiest way to do that is by being confident.

If you believe in yourself, the world will believe in you too.

The way you carry yourself has somehow an impact by how the world perceives you. What you give out there is what you get in return. There’s no harm in trying to wear your positive self as soon as you step out of your comfort zone.

You look best when you smile like nothing hurts you, when you wink your problems away, when you walk like you know exactly where you’re going. Success is reachable by not only working hard but also by learning how to charm your way into getting what you want.

When life gets hard, don’t forget to face it with grace. Show your insecurities that they have no power over you. Embrace your uniqueness and never be afraid to take it with you everywhere you go. You’re going to thank yourself one day for not following the same path in life that everyone’s pursuing.

We all end up in different places. It’s pointless to peek over at someone’s plate and wish to have what they have. Whatever situation you are in is perfectly suited for your story and for your destiny. It’s okay to be who you are.

Love the body that you came in. Love the reflection that looks back at you in the mirror. Love the person that you are becoming.

Own your situation. Be confident in all that you do and believe in yourself. If there’s anything that doesn’t make you happy, do everything that you can to change it. Spend the rest of your life looking for that one thing that makes your heart beat wildly.

You might not like where you started, but you have a complete control of where you want to end up. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
