When You Find Yourself At Rock Bottom, Look Up

I know what it’s like to fall. I know what it’s like to feel your knees give out and your heart give in. I know what it’s like to lose your balance and your breath.⁣

⁣When we’re down, when we’re face to face with our foundation, it’s our chance to begin again. When we’re faced with nothing, it’s our opportunity to change everything. ⁣

Trust me, I know what it’s like to want to stay down, close my eyes, and pretend that everything will pass if the sun rises just a few more times. ⁣

Trust me, I know what it’s like to want to hide in the depths of my disappointment. I know what it feels like to not have the power to rise.⁣

But I also know that these are the times for the greatest growth. ⁣⁣

Because when life takes you to your limits, it’s because the universe knows there’s more you’re capable of, more you’re meant to do, and dreams you have yet to imagine. ⁣

When the world throws you a curveball, it’s because it knows you catch it. Even if you fall, the world knows you’ll throw it in the direction of your purpose.⁣

It’s the dark times, the sticky times, and the uncertain times that help us become sure of who we are. When we have no clue which way to turn, it’s when we learn to trust ourselves again. ⁣

So I know how much it hurts to fall. But I also know how to alchemize that pain into the courage you need to rise.⁣

So next time you find yourself down, look up. Look up and remember your potential. Remember your worth. Remember that if you can make falling an art, rising will become your masterpiece.⁣

Look up from rock bottom. The world is waiting for you to notice just what you’re made of. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
