Be Patient With Yourself — You’re Growing

Life is a process of trying, and failing, and learning from those failures.

Be patient with yourself — this life is a process.

Be patient with yourself when you feel lost, and take comfort in knowing that you are not alone in that feeling — it can visit everyone’s doorstep at one point in their lives. Sometimes it comes knocking more than once, too. Remember that there isn’t a roadmap or a GPS in this life we get to lead. We’re all just making this up as we go along, and anyone who tells you any different isn’t being truthful with themselves, either.

Life is a process of trying, and failing, and learning from those failures.

Be patient with yourself as you fail, and remember that success and failure are intertwined.

There isn’t a person on this planet who hasn’t failed at something they have tried — greatness is not built from getting it right on the first try. Greatness is built from standing back up after you have been knocked down. Greatness is built from having the humility and foresight to keep pursuing your vision, and the knowledge and understanding that sometimes one must change gears.

Be patient with yourself as you change — it is part of life.

Change can be scary, but it’s also necessary. It’s how we learn; it’s how we grow. And if you can’t say you’re growing, how can you say that you’re living?

Be patient with yourself as you enter new seasons of your life.

Just as the year has different seasons, so will your life. There will be periods of spring, of summer, of winter, of fall. They will all teach you something different. They will all bring you something new — and there is ultimately beauty in all of that newness, even if it doesn’t come in a pretty package.

Moments of barren darkness are needed so that the universe can prepare you to step into your light in full bloom.
