Love Someone Who Loves You On Your Bad Days

Love someone who understands that you need to make yourself happy first. That you need to be able to fix the bad days on your own, and sometimes that means putting yourself before them. Love someone who understands that, and never let them go.

Love someone who loves you even on the bad days. On the days when you cry for no logical reason, because the dog peed on the white carpet, because you tried to cook a nice dinner and you burnt it to a crisp, because in one day every bad thing that could happen, did.

Love someone who loves you on the days you’re exhausted. On the days you feel tired from simply thinking, on the days you feel tired from over-thinking. Because sometimes your mind runs faster than your body and at the end of the day one just can’t keep up with the other.

Love someone who loves you on the days you’re scared. On the days you’d rather just not try because not trying means not failing.

Love someone who loves you on the days you’re frustrated. On the days when sometimes you take that frustration out on them. Because you don’t always realize how you’re acting in the moment, and when you finally realize the way you acted wasn’t fair or right, it’s too late.

Love someone who loves you on the days you’re not yourself. On the days you tell them you’re just not feeling good, on the days you find it hard to tell them why. Because sometimes you know it’s just you and it has nothing to do with them, but you know sometimes they won’t understand that.

Love someone who loves you on the days you say things you don’t really mean. Love someone who loves you on the days you wish you could take those things back.

Love someone who loves you on the days you feel insecure. On the days you think everyone’s smarter than you, richer than you, prettier than you, luckier than you. On the days you just don’t feel good enough, love someone who makes you realize that you are.

Love someone who loves you on the days you think you’ve lost yourself. On the days you feel you can’t recognize the person you’ve become. On the days you feel you’ve forgotten who you really are, what really matters to you, what makes you happy. Love someone who gives you the freedom to remember. Love someone who encourages you to be who you truly are, to remember who you truly are, always.

Love someone who loves you on the bad days. On the days you feel sad, angry, insecure. On the days you feel lost, confused, and afraid. Love someone who accepts that you have these bad days, someone who understands you aren’t always going to feel great, someone who understands sometimes you’re going to feel terrible.

Love someone who makes the bad days better because they want you to be happy, because a bad day for you is a bad day for them, because they are happy when you are happy, and they realize they won’t always be the one who can make that happen. Love someone who understands that you need to make yourself happy first. That you need to be able to fix the bad days on your own, and sometimes that means putting yourself before them. Love someone who understands that, and never let them go. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
